It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Business trip to explore the Sintra area

I had a very pleasant stay. The staff (front desk, house keeping and especially at the breakfast buffet/restaurant) is amazing and very attentive. The location is well maintained and beautiful. I also enjoyed the large pool and spa area multiple times. Would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The staff were lovely, the hotel has beautiful views, it is peaceful and breakfast is lovely. You need a car unless you plan to relax on resort. There is a Lidl nearby for necessities and it is a 15 minute drive to the beautiful beaches at Guincho and Cascais.

The hotel was very well run. Plenty of helpful staff, most with good English. Breakfast offered a good choice. Spa facilities were very good, nice pool, sauna etc. Golf course was in ok condition and not crowded in the afternoons. All in all we had a very nice stay and would certainly go again.

Amazing reception tea

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, perfect for our family with kids. The pool was a great spot to relax, and the food was delicious. However, the real highlight was the reception team. They went above and beyond to assist us with a few challenging issues, resolving everything with ease. Their friendly and professional service made all the difference. Highly recommend!

Staff very attentive and friendly who were always willing to help with any questions. Pool area was smaller than we hoped and the addition of having something to entertain the children during the day and some adult entertainment during some evenings or at the weekend would be a great addition to the resort. Everything is excellent in this property except the parking space that is a little difficult to find parking at any time on the day but specially during the night time. Other than that is a perfect place to be and every time we go to Portugal we choose the same hotel, not only because is close to our family but also because is a nice, clean, safe and affordable place to stay.

The staff were excellent. The breakfast was very good . The location 12 min from Sintra. I did not like the fact that we had no control over the heating system, it was cold , and I could not turn up the heating. The staff told us it was controlled by management . Internet was a bit slow . 😊

Lovely, Comfortable Hotel

My room was spotless, clean, and comfortable. Front desk was helpful and kind (Sandro helped me get my luggage to my room and to car) and moved my daughter's family to a 2 level room with a kitchenette for my grandson. Grandson loved playing in the indoor pool. Only negative was breakfast food choices on line not really what Americans tend to choose, but nice presentation. And coffee machines never fill the cups, need to do twice. But really, A lovely hotel!

The hotel was quiet, clean, and safe. Staff were very friendly and helpful with getting around to the various attractions. The only issue we had was with the food for both breakfast and dinner. It was not worth the money. Taste was terrible. Food was cold or luke warm at best. Dinner options don't change for a month at a time and we're not good or tasty options. I would recommend this hotel, just opt out of the food options.

The hotel and its grounds were very nice and very convenient for the places we wanted to visit by car, however there are very few places to eat within walking distance. We walked to Casa do Lago for a meal which was very nice and there was also a sushi, Chinese and another restaurant in the same vicinity but we didn’t use these. The hotel has an A La Carte menu, however this was never in operation during our week long stay as they had a buffet dinner every evening, which is much more expensive if you don’t want a large meal, although it was very nice and had lots of selection with a nice Portuguese style to the food. There are bar snacks available and these were very good, particularly the shrimp salad! The room was nice and comfortable, our safe did not work and despite reporting this 3 times it was never sorted during our stay, although all staff were very friendly and polite. The swimming facilities were a bit of a let down. The indoor swimming pool was cold, so we only used it briefly once and had been looking forward to relaxing in the bubble jets. The Turkish bath, sauna and changing areas were a bit basic. Breakfast had plenty of choice with fruits, yoghurts, cereals, hot buffet, continental selection of cold meats, cheeses, bread and pastries. There is an Aldi and a Lidl’s nearby.
