The grounds were very clean as was our room. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Room 206, the fridge did not work along with the A/C and light at the tea station. It would have been gandy to have a towel rail (to dry towels). Soft furnushing (chair and stool) had stains which should have been cleaned.

It's a clean smart hotel with good outdoor areas. The gym was a bit lacking in kettle bells and other accessories. It had the usual range of running and rowing equipment. The bar dining menu was reasonably priced and the food came well presented . We had a room with a balcony. Whilst it was quite narrow it was nice to be able to sit on it and have the door open to get some fresh air into the room Breakfast was a good meal very friendly front of house staff and tasty well cooked options from a full English to fish meats cheese and cereal alternatives.

The mattress nearest the bathroom in room 148 was awful, it was sunken in the middle. We stayed overnight to avoid an early start Tues am, but I was awake from 5am!

the Room was very nice and the staff very friendly including those at reception and the bar staff. However we did have an issue with getting into our room due to a lock malfunction when we arrived. Although we did eventually get moved to a new room it did take about 40 minutes from our arrival for them to move us which was a bit of an inconvenience. Additionally the tv in the room could definitely do with updating! Other than those minor inconveniences the stay was nice and we couldn’t fault it

Staff were friendly but the bar didn’t have my first 2 choices of drink so had to settle for Gin and they still got it wrong twice. The reception staff were really helpful went through all I needed to know. It was busy as there was a wedding. The room was clean and fresh but not sure the cleaner checked everything as tissue box etc run out after one tissue. But I liked having the fridge was very handy. The window only opened a couple of inches and the room had air con but even full blast the room was warm. So a very warm night even though it wasn’t that warm. Just be careful with the room you think your booking as when I booked I thought I was booking one room but got another. Do was a bit disappointed. Hotel was nice enough but for the money I wouldn’t stay again.

Good stay overall
We checked in very late after a wedding and were warmly welcomed. Every staff member we spoke to throughout our stay was very helpful and friendly which makes such a difference. The breakfast choice was quite small and not a lot of what was there with some of the cooked food quite cold (could have just been unlucky timing), but what we did have was very tasty. Great view from our room and the bed was very comfortable - air conditioning was easy to use and worked well and we both had a great nights sleep. Unfortunately the cleaner did come into our room early in the morning which woke us both up, we were only staying one night so was no need for them to come in. We only had 1 bottle of sparkling water in the room (no still water at all) and one tissue in the tissue box. My recommendation would be they have a small shop or selection of swimming shorts for sale, as my partner forgot his and there was no where nearby to get any. I’m sure we can’t be the first to forget so im sure they’d make some money there! It meant we didn’t get a chance to use the which was a shame. I recommend visiting Hever Castle if you stay here, very nearby and beautiful.
