"I always have great experiences at Holiday *nn Express. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was super nice and accommodating. They got us a portable crib for my 3 month old which was really awesome. Break was great. No smoking allowed on the property. I will only stay at Holiday inn Express from now on."

"Parking... although there is ample parking. (Be sure to remember your plate number) There is a disconnect between the parking deck and the hotel that requires that you walk outdoors to get inside the hotel, then walk to the other side of the hotel up a grand staircase to even get to the reservation desk. If you have multiple bags...forget it. I didn't see anything or anyone to assist you. Also the only elevators are on one side of the guesthouse but rooms are located down a very long hallway, which means a very long walk dragging bags. Now the hotel is beautiful but there seems to be a disconnect between design and functionality. "

"The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, but twice we found long black hair that wasn’t ours on a pillow and the comforter. Our towels had rips in them. One of the bedside lamps had a burned out bulb, and when I went down to the desk to ask for a replacement, there was no one there for a long period of time. I eventually gave up. The alarm on the old-fashioned clock radio in the room surprised us by going off super early in the morning. The lobby and hallways had a weird disinfectant smell. I would not stay here again."

"The hotel is beautiful - sleek and chic! Great location and stellar staff. The rooftop bar and restaurant is my favorite place in Charlottesville. (The gluten-free pizza is FANTASTIC!). The rooms are nice, but there was mildew on the shower walls the last 2 times we stayed there. The gym has some broken equipment, but that won't stop us from coming back! The best value in the area. "
