My friend, myself and my dog found the property it self a little 'tired' and were not aware that the property has bore water so we went and bought our own. After cleaning the ranch slider picture windows myself we had a fabulous view of the ocean. In saying all of this I found the place peaceful and quietand as an amatuer photographer enjoyed the sunsets for the the 2 nights we stayed. For our purposes was fine..unsure if I would stay again

Great beach house
We had a great time. Loved that it was pet friendly. Well stocked and spacious. Wish we knew about bore water ahead of time, would have grabbed some bottled water on the way as we arrived after shops were closed. Now we know for next time.

Beautiful Beachfront
We loved our second stay at the Magical Beach Bach and have already booked our third. The bach is very well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the view is stunning. Any queries are replied to promptly by the owners. The proximity to the beach couldn't be better. What else do you need? It's the perfect place for a family holiday.

Perfect getaway
We had the best time at this lovely bach. It had everything we needed - we were even able to bake my sister a birthday cake! Amazing view and access to the beach. Loved staying here and can't wait to go back.

Family Fun

Lost for words
This property is just perfect! ...and the views are to die for! Everything you may need is there, they have thought of everything. Had origonally booked for a family holiday and would have been amazing...but ended up as a couples getaway and was even better! Plus could bring our fur baby (ragdoll cat) and he loved it too. Thank you so much! Will be rebooking for next year!

Great Weekend Playing Boardgames By The Beach

Perfect weekend away from the city
The perfect spot for people wanting to get out of the city for the weekend, only just over an hour away from Wellington. Direct access to the beach (but far enough back that our dog couldn't see it so didn't go running!) this bach has everything you will need for an easy weekend getaway. Plenty of seating, lots of doors and windows to take in the view, and super simple check/in out process - the hosts even offer early check-in / late check-out if possible depending on other bookings which was a nice touch too. Overall we had a lovely time and will definitely be back!

Best bach
We have stayed at this Brilliant Bach many times; are always amazed at the stunning expansive views of sand dunes and sea which evoke instant relaxation. Sunsets are special at this bach, which is a real home away from home. Comfy furniture and beds, lots of extra feautures make this our definite fave bach for a weekend away.

If you love the beach and ocean you can't ask for a better location, only sand dunes seperate the property from the beach. You can see beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the lounge and the deck, and you can listen to the ocean. The property owners have also kindly supplied free wifi, Sky TV, Neon, Disney, heaps of dvds and books, and a whole lot of fire wood for a nice cozy relaxing fire in the evening. This was the 3rd time I've stayed in this place and I look forward to staying there again in the future

The perfect getaway
We keep returning to this place as it's the ideal hideaway for some R&R no matter what the weather. Comfortable and cosy, but with all the mod cons, it's got everything you need on site. Views of the sea, and beach just a minute walk over dunes, it's ideal for long walks and swims, if the weather's right! And check out the local Four Square, it's got an amazing bakery - it's lucky we ever leave this place!

Waitarere has been my break away location of choice for 30 years. Since I found this gem, I won’t stay anywhere else. To me, it’s everything a beachside Bach should be - love it up there!

Great spot, comfy beds and couches. Relaxing setup and great we could take our two little dogs. We couldnt work the wifi sky or Netflix but the CD range was great and we played music all weekend. Was actually more relaxing not looking at our phones every 5 minutes. Would stay again.

A lovely Bach right on the beach. Stunning views. Was extremely comfortable, the fire was amazing. Walk to the lawn bowls club with beer on tap and fish and chips. Just the relaxing break we needed. Will be visiting again for sure.
