Beautiful Lakefront Cottage

Beautiful waterfront cottage with large deck overlooking Horseshoe lake. Take in beautiful sunsets from the comfort of your deck. The cottage has an open concept with 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 queen bed and 1 double bed) and a third bedroom downstairs with 2 twin beds.

Inside, everything needed to enjoy your stay is included. The kitchen is fully equipped dishes and cutlery plus a coffee maker, toaster, kettle, blender, microwave, and dishwasher. There is a 3 piece bath with stand up shower (no tub) and a washer and dryer.

Downstairs has a walkout to the lake and a family room with Smart TV. High speed internet and good cell phone coverage. Heat Pump for those colder days/evenings and A/C to keep you cool. Linens and towels are provided but please bring your own Lake towels.

Outside you'll find a BBQ with propane included, patio furniture on large deck overlooking the lake, lake side fire pit with chairs. Outdoor games including washer toss, ladder ball and a Ping Pong table are available for your use. A private floating dock with a small beach area in front of the cottage. Two kayaks and one paddle board are provided, and the lake is perfect for fishing, kayaking, canoeing and swimming.

Located just over 1 hour from Halifax, 30 minutes to Mahone Bay, just 5 minutes to New Ross. The village of New Ross has amenities such as a Clover Farm Market, Home Hardware Building Center, and a NSLC.

The cottage is NON-SMOKING. There is a minimum night stay. Motorized boats, sea-doos, etc are NOT permitted on the lake.

Annual Stay for our clan

Paradise!
I work a high stress job and was very much in need of some time away. This property was a slice of heaven on earth. Waking up and enjoying coffee on the deck, overlooking the water and listening to the loons! As the sun got hot on the deck, the gazebo was perfect shade for an afternoon nap in the hammock. Swimming off the dock and enjoying the paddleboard and kayaks on the lake was amazing. And the fact that our fur baby was welcomed and lived her best life with this summer was priceless. Bed were comfortable and shower was amazing! Would definitely love to go back!!

Great stay by the lake
Had a great stay by the lake,girls enjoyed the paddleboard and swimming in the lake. We enjoyed a fire under the incredible stars. Close to Chester and lots of other destinations(Peggy’s cove, Lunenburg). Would definitely stay again!

Paradise

Great cottage

Great family vacation!
Clean, peaceful cottage on a beautiful lake, we got some stunning photos of the most beautiful sunsets! We loved the warm lake along with the paddle board and kayaks! All the board games made for some great family nights! You can tell the hosts have gone above and beyond to make sure the cottage is well equipped with everything you can think of! The cottage was very nice and clean, everything u needed was there even a bluetooth speaker !! The lake was great for swimming and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out that came with the rental !! Amazing place to unwind for vacation !! Would definitely go back again.

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2022 and had a wonderful stay. The cottage was so clean and had everything we needed. The outside area was great and the lake was beautiful. There were paddle boards, kayaks and an assortment of outdoor games that our teens loved. Would definitely book here again!

Relaxing Retreat
I can't say enough about this property - Amazing weekend! My friends & I had a wonderful time at the cottage. We swam in the lake, tried out the kayaks & paddle boat and enjoyed a bonfire under the stars. Christiane was a great host, welcomed us with a Smore kit - it was put to good use. I would recommend this place to anyone - anything you need is provided including blankets for your bonfire nights. The only suggestion I have is a few folding chairs for late night game nights in the kitchen. We are already talking about returning next year!

Just Wow!! Amazing!!
Fabulous place to stay...so warm and inviting..hosts are amazing....the view from the LR window and the kake facing deck is breathtaking. Went with my 3 sisters and we will most surley be returning in 2022!! Sooo did not want to leave!! I have been in many places and countries but here we found our souls after just losing our mother. There are just so many wonderful things to say here...every single detail is covered. Spotless clean.....thank you so mych Nancy for all that you do for yor guests!! Fantastic Stay
This was an amazing cottage to stay at. Very clean, lake was fantastic and having the kayaks and paddle board available was awesome. This is a perfect lake to enjoy for all ages. The weather was very hot and was spend much of the time playing in the water. Our grandkids loved the chance to be swimming every day. Nancy was a fantastic host and answered any questions promptly. This property was everything we were looking for….beautiful lake front setting, with all the bells and whistles! Clean, updated, well equipped kitchen… bbq, games galore, laundry facilities, 2 kayaks & life jackets provided. New dock extends out on the lake… to sit and enjoy the spectacular sunsets and listen to the loons! Owners very accommodating. Highly recommend!
