Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla

8/10 Good
"We arrived on a VERY busy weekend for the hotel, for a 5 night stay. Our room was above expectations. It was one of the most quiet rooms we have ever stayed in. We were told about a free breakfast on Sunday morning. To say it was chaos is an understatement. The buffet was wiped out and the "order" line was a 30 minute wait. I was so disappointed. It reminded me of a "carnival cruise" situation. HOWEVER! The next 4 days were fantastic. The food was delicious on both the buffet and the "made to order grill." The staff was excellent. Obviously the first day was not a good representation of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great location across from a very nice mall. Excellent staff who were very helpful."
