Bad bits - bathroom not terribly clean,no BBC on tv.,only ITV and Channel 4.No one visible for checkout.

"A wonderful stay in the heart of the town. Superb breakfasts. Helpful, welcoming and friendly staff in all departments, especially The Lawns’s housekeeping team.
Ridiculously comfortable bed and bedding.

"The service upon arrival was outstanding. We stayed in the Watermill room which was on the small side. Unfortunately the temperature on the 2 nights that we stayed was very high and the small window and upright fan was really not sufficient to cool the room down much. There was no mirror in the actual room, only in the bathroom so someone couldn't get ready whilst someone else was in the bathroom, i found this a real inconvenience.
We ate in the hotel on the 1st night. The food was very tasty but expensive for what it was. We ordered the rump of lamb and all it came with was some peas and a jus but no potatoes or chips. The meals were a disappointing size portion.
The continental breakfast was great and the bed was comfortable. The choice of teas of great along with the extra toiletries. "

"Arrival and check in very easy, details of key safe sent in good time. Ample parking for our 3 large cars and a trailer. House very spacious and modern, we particularly loved the breakfast area and conservatory. Kitchen large and well equipped, the coffee area was well used! Bedrooms well set up, beds were comfortable. All in all a very enjoyable holiday with a fantastic spacious base to come back to. "
