This is a relatively new facility and it is in great shape. The room was very clean and comfortable. Covered parking was a huge perk.

Great hotel. Very clean and easy to get around. We ask for close to elevator and it couldn’t have worked out better. We used the back elevator and our access to the car made loading and unloading easier.

So the hotel itself was very nice and clean. Our room however was not. The floors weren’t vacuumed and the floor in the bathroom was not clean either. The beds were hard and not very comfortable. The gym was incredible and the breakfast was good though!!!

Us 4 loved our stay! From time If check in with Darci, and the three orders, who I didn’t get their names, were all so helpful and so friendly! Which you just don’t find anymore!! The hotel was Clean! And the breakfast was good!! Our beds were very comfy! Had hiccups with our keys, but we didn’t mind! Was always taken care of immediately! Darci was a gem, as was the gentleman that was at front desk! Thank you all for the great stay! We would definitely come back to Hampton in Lead!!!!

Here's the bad first: we got the impression that some staff are not motivated at all. It revolved around the breakfast. Not once was an employee present to check on the state of affairs in the eating area. Never. The eggs were labeled "cheese omelets." That wasn't the case; it was the same old pale yellow bland no flavor scrambled egg thing in a tray. Cheese was MIA even separately . Not "omelet." The waffle batter dispenser didn't work, the whipped cream was only air, there were no cups for coffee or juice. The oatmeal was watery. Poor employee performance. This is a newer hotel, so the room design is practically exactly the same whether you're in Santa Fe or Lead, the only recent Hampton Inns of note I can recall staying at. Hilton is obviously a giant in the hotel business, and their corporate attitude is on display with their branding ideas. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. A drawback to modern giant hotel corporate design seems to be small rooms. This location is no different. It feels pretty tight in the rooms and the ceilings in the hallways seem too low for the average high school basketball player. Nice features in the room included: comfortable beds and linens, hooks to hang jackets and hooks in the bath for towels (why aren't these standard everywhere?), large TV (bigger than ours, not saying much, but it's pretty large). The double shade blinds were good and I liked the thermostat function as opposed to hi/low cool/hot units, etc.

Clean room, very nice staff, they made sure my family had a conjoined room, let me check in early, my kids enjoyed hot cocoa they had available 24/7 at the coffee station, staff gave my children cookies at the front desk. Very welcoming, will stay again. The parking garage was also a plus
