The only reason I knocked the surrounding area was because they are working on a new gondola next door and it was a bit messy. Not the hotels fault. We were able to have them hold our bags so we could explore the area and come back later and check in. Front desk clerk Andi was a hoot and a good idea person for hikes. Just don’t believe him when he says it’s a little uphill because he must be part Billy goat. It was a lot uphill but very worth it. We really enjoyed our stay. "
