"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel is part of a very large restaurant with good food and good service. It is in the main shopping and dining area, and within a short walk to the Chateau, which is the...

"Very well located right at the center of town. Very nice staff. Breakfast was good, if continental in nature. "

"The staff were nice! But we had to pay 20 euros for sheets and towels as they were not included with the room. This was not stated until after the booking was made. Also the beds were basically just sofas, not very comfortable. Cheap just for a night to sleep but I would not stay there for more than a night."
