"Château Sainte-Radegonde was the perfect for family 40th birthday celebrations, and it exceeded every expectation. Our group of adults and kids had the most wonderful stay from beginning to end.The property is truly exceptional. Waking to sweeping views over the Loire, coffee on the terrace and hot air balloons drifting past at sunset are memories we will treasure. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable and there was space for everyone. The kitchen and dining room were beautifully equipped for big family dinners.The children were in heaven with the fenced parklands, games room, outdoor games, while the adults loved the terrace, from mornings to long evenings outside together. It is also a brilliant base for exploring the châteaux, vineyards and villages of the Loire Valley, with Saumur only minutes away.Julie was an outstanding host. Warm, generous and quick to respond, she made us feel genuinely welcome. Her communication before and during our stay was clear, thoughtful and always helpful. You can feel the family history in this home and the love that goes into caring for it.Five stars in every respect. "A very enjoyable 4 days stay particularly as I was able to acquire a portable A/C unit from the very helpful reception staff - I arrived in 38C!! Located within walking distance of everything in beautiful Angers but very quiet as it’s in the University zone. There’s a supermarket minutes away as are lovely walks along the river to the château. The room itself was pristine and comfortable. Ticked all my boxes and hope to return again next year."
