"I stay here regularly. A real local pub, where regulars seem to meet early evening but it gets quiet later. Very friendly atmosphere. "My room was a lovely suite with its own kitchen and sofa. I think furniture lay out could be changed so you could watch TV from the sofa rather than just the bed. My TV didn’t work the first night but the staff fixed it the second night, and offered me another room if they couldn’t. Breakfast was nice and lots of choice. Hot food cooked fresh. The hotel is more central than I thought so easy to walk into town along the river or even to the large garden centre. A big downside is my room was in the annex on the ground floor with the car park right outside. I had to keep the curtains closed as cars and people were directly outside my window."
