"Only thing was the cracked tile on the bathroom floor, annoying every time you stepped on it . Also we didn’t get our room serviced on the 2nd day . Breakfast was lovely and the room was nice . "
"Great room, excellent bed & bedding. Bathroom well equipped with plenty of hot water. Parking was included & close by. Staff very welcoming & accommodating. Lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Our steaks were cooked to perfection & the whole meal delicious.
Only thing to let the hotel down was breakfast. Breakfast buffet was dry; the bacon was hard & fried eggs rubbery. The pot of tea was awful, which was a surprise at tea bags in bedroom were delicious. It was bad tea & doesn’t seem to have been made with boiling water.
We would gladly return despite the tea ! "
"The park was nearby, the lakeside setting was fabulous and the staff lovely. The food was good, especially the breakfast was sensational. The dining room/ restaurant was a bit institutional and soulless. It was strange that the bar could have run out of plain crisps, indeed all crisps but the most exotic of flavours by Saturday lunchtime of a busy weekend. Someone with a bit of initiative could have run across to the Aquarium cafe and scooped up their's. But that is a minor detail. The cosy room was of a good size with a bath.
