You are treated to private quarters in their own home so you won't feel like you are staying in accomodation meant for travellers. Especially love the shower and their bed. They put your comfort foremost and it's these small details that makes all the difference. Either I stayed in a different room to the one photographed, or the photographs need to be updated. The room we stayed in was far better than expected. The room is very well appointed with plenty of space and it is clear that the property is immaculately maintained. I'd definitely stay again and hopefully will have more than one night too.

I and my husband stayed here a year ago and had no hesitation in rebooking for our latest trip as we were absolutely blown away by this "unassuming " motel. The staff were friendly and the rooms were amazing. It was well stocked and the prices for the food offered in the rooms were not astronomical as in many other motels we've stayed in. We will definitely be staying here again on our trips between Wollongong and Melbourne.

We really could not fault either Paynesville or Captains Cover Resort both exceeded our expectations. The apartment is modern, well appointed and spotlessly clean. It is a short walk into Paynesville proper and the ferry to Raymond Island and our walk among the koalas. Bairnsdale Golf Course was a short distance from the resort and a pleasure to play.

All rooms are absolute waterfront. We had an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. The local super market is very close so we self catered breakfast and dinner for our entire stay.

The cabins are spacious, well equipped and very clean and inviting. The grounds are also lovely and we had beautiful weather so made great use of the pool. We have stayed at other accommodation in the area and found this to be excellent value for money.

We wanted an escape from Melbourne for New Years & 5 Knots in Metung was exactly what we were looking for! Quiet & in a brilliant location close to the cafes & shops Metung has to offer, we had a view over the lake. We had a small hitch with the bathroom but the off-site reception staff were quick to assist - even on New Years Eve with a follow-up on New Years Day, cannot fault their attentiveness. We will definitely be back to 5 Knots & Metung!

Spacious, clean, comfortable, well designed, especially the bathroom: 3 people can use the toilet, the washbasin and the shower at the same time in complete privacy, very convenient for family. Well done and Thank you to Paynesville HP!

Very helpful manager, quiet location - been though it was on the main road - and easy to find. It was great finding the car windscreen had been cleaned in the morning!

Very clean room, comfortable bed, mini bar is not exorbitantly priced and has sufficient for two people. Restaurant for dinner & breakfast again is very reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly & welcoming. Our overall stay was excellent & would definitely stay again.

The property is very comfortable and in a quiet area, with easy walk or drive to main esplanade and shopping. cottages are clean, comfortable and spacious.

Lovely place to stay, it was peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean. I enjoyed doing the walks nearby the accommodation.
