Learn more about Lakeland

Head to sights like Wet Tropics of Queensland and Springvale Station Nature Refuge as you discover Lakeland.

Throwback to May, 2014 when stopped at the Palmer River in northern Queensland. The Palmer River lies almost directly west and inland to Cape Tribulation. The river flooded in the aftermath of a severe cyclone in late March. Water flowed over the bridge and debris was visible the bridge and along the river banks.
One can stay overnight at the Palmer River Roadhouse and there is a range of accomodation available to suit most travellers. An interesting place to stop for an hour or longer!
