Dancing Falls Lodge: Overlooks Dirty Dancing Scene: Stream/Pond/Fire Pit/Hot Tub
8/10 Good
"We have been coming to Lake Lure every year for 6 years now and have stayed at a few places in rumbling bald resort and this was one of the more expensive places we have stayed but the price did not match up with what we got. We got there at check in at 4 and the cleaners were still working, we waited patiently but when we finally got in the house we could tell it was rushed. There was no organization to the kitchen- pots and pans everywhere and lids that don’t match. The beds were not that comfortable and the bath towels were comically small- they barely fit around my 8 year old. Overall we had a good trip, I just think this place is overpriced for what you get. Host was excellent with communication."
"We enjoyed this cabin and love the Lake Lure area. We went on the Lake Lure Boat Tour with Bill and it was amazing. Thankful that the community has worked together after Helene came through. We had good food at Lastradas, one of our favorites. And the fish fry at The Fish House was good. We also spent Saturday afternoon at the Grey Hawk Gardens while watching the Otter Dogs band. Very relaxing. We found an awesome little family breakfast at The Victory. It was good and had great service.Maryann’s cabin was nice, clean and was decorated just like pictured. Enjoyed the back deck just sitting and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. We definitely will be back for a visit at this cabin as we had a wonderful relaxing long weekend.Thank you Tim for sharing your cabin with us."
M & M Rockhouse | Pet-Friendly Lake Cottage on Lake Lure with Private Lake Access and Fire Pit
8/10 Good
"We had an amazing stay at M&M Rockhouse! The views from the home were spectacular and the private dock/swimming area was perfect for our toddlers. The neighborhood was quiet and an easy drive into the downtown as well as to the grocery store. The house does feel like it could be better maintained/felt older inside than expected, and the dock could use an update. I wouldn’t classify the home as “luxury” other than the views and lake access. With that said, we did have a great time and would consider booking again in the future."
Owl's Nest Cabin. Romantic Cabin on beautiful Lake Lure!
8/10 Good
"Cabin was very nice. Needed some deep cleaning around fans and fixtures, but overall very nice. Unfortunately, we were unable to view the lake from the porch area due to over growth of limbs from the trees. It would be nice if the trees were pruned enough to allow a clear view of the beautiful lake. We brought our Mini dachshund for our trip and when we walked her leashed, the cabin next to us had 2 German Shepherds that were not leashed and the owner let them wander freely. They charged me and my dog several times which made it difficult to walk her. It might be helpful to ensure that guests with pets should always have them on a leash. Otherwise, we enjoyed our trip."
"Our overall experience was excellent. The cabin was roomy with a nice bathroom and kitchenette. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Also, sitting outside on the cabin porch was excellent."
