My room was extremely clean and well-appointed with a larger than average mini-fridge, clean microwave, newer coffee pot and a newer model large flatscreen t.v. conveniently mounted across from the bed. Speaking of the bed! It was a very comfy pillow top queen set with crisp clean sheets and a HUGE oversized warm. The water pressure was amazing and stayed hot as long as I showered. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip through Asheville!

Room was so tiny. There was a bed… no chair, a rickety desk. The bathroom wall was about to fall down from some sort of water leak. The toilet when flushed sounded like a jet turbine. The the compressor on the mini fridge hit some sort of frequency that pierced my brain when it kicked on. Which battle the horrific sound from the heater and the people in the lobby. The area had a lot of fast food joints to eat with in walking distance even a Cracker Barrel. “The madness” restaurant just in the neighboring parking lot was AMAZING!!! If your feeling bored with life and wanna slum it. Then for sure go. It was cheap and we survived so it’s all good!!

I recently spent 3 wks in a local hospital after a serious back injury necessitated spine surgery and I needed to find a SAFE, AFFORDABLE hotel so that I could do several wks of physical therapy here. The day before my hospital discharge I started calling around to area hotels but found most to be way out of my budget. Until I called the Rodeway Inn in West Asheville. Not only did the rates fall well within my admittedly tight budget, the staff member that answered the phone was warm, friendly and empathetic after I explained what had been going on in my life. He immediately made me feel welcome and reassured me that a handicap accessible room would be waiting for me the next day (thank you Brian!). I've been here almost a month now and every one of the employees from the manager to housekeeping to the maintenance men have been extremely helpful and gone out of their way to make me feel safe and welcome. The room I rented was extremely clean, the bed comfortable, the heat works perfectly, there's amazing water pressure (I hate to stay places with weak water pressure in the shower!), and there's convenient laundry facilities in the hotel for guests to use. I don't know when I'll be back.in Asheville but if I need to stay overnight I wont stay anywhere but this Rodeway Inn. Thank you again to the wonderful hardworking staff!!

The room was very clean despite the outdated furniture and old building. The staff was more than friendly and helpful! I felt very safe staying here and think it’s worth the price they’re asking. The walls and floors had lots of wear and tear, but the non smoking room smelled clean and I had no issues.

There were roaches in the room. The pillows and sheets weren’t clean. The sink was eroded. The pictures of the property seemed like a complete 180 from the actual room. The hallway smelled. It was a 2 star property, so I didn’t want to expect much, because it won’t be fair. But the property lacks basic hygiene, everything is dilapidated.

I have never been to a hotel where I actually felt afraid. The place was disgusting. I’m sure there are health code violations. I’m willing to put up with a lot to save money. We left and went across the street to Comfort Inn. Supposedly they are refunding my money. We’ll see.
