"What a magical lakehouse! We couldn’t call it a cottage as it is far too nice for that. When we arrived we marvelled at the size and comfort of the space. The photos really don’t do justice to how spacious, bright and beautiful the house is, indoors and out. There are expansive windows facing the lake, well planned upstairs and downstairs lounges, sunbeds, docks and massive deck with a beautiful lake view. And more!!Two docks provide morning sun and one for the afternoon light! A cozy and cool...

The listing said there would be things such as wifi and when we arrived we were told we had to bring our own wifi. This did not majorly impact our stay as we still had a good time however it was disappointing to not have amenities that were on the listing."

The dock has a motor running 24/7 (assuming to keep the water clear) so don’t bet on a quiet morning coffee out on the water. The communication was frustrating at times. For example when asking about the garbage policy, they failed to mention that you need clear bags...

"What a magical lakehouse! We couldn’t call it a cottage as it is far too nice for that. When we arrived we marvelled at the size and comfort of the space. The photos really don’t do justice to how spacious, bright and beautiful the house is, indoors and out. There are expansive windows facing the lake, well planned upstairs and downstairs lounges, sunbeds, docks and massive deck with a beautiful lake view. And more!!Two docks provide morning sun and one for the afternoon light! A cozy and cool screened in room was ideal for late night gatherings but what surprised us most of all was that there were no bugs to speak of!! The lake breeze and flitting dragonflies took care of that for us!!The master suite was stunning with lake view walk out doors and a cute table for our morning coffee fix! The ensuite has the best deep soaking tub that was heaven for our hardworking kayaking muscles!!The hot tub outside was comfortable and easy access off the deck with lake views. Perfect to soak in while watching the children play on the grass.The lake is healthy, clear and warm and we could dive right off the dock!!!The owners surprised us with a gift basket with special Canada Day gifts for young and old. They are easy to communicate with and readily available. They even got in touch with us after we left some jewellery behind! The kitchen has all the bells and whistles, is stocked with all essentials, an excellent fridge and storage for days. The most incredible cottage experience"

"We had the best time with Linda and Gord!! Exceptional hospitality and lots of laughs. Delicious breakfasts, gorgeous home and lovely, lovely hosts. "What a gorgeous place to stay. Everything we needed was provided from towels, to soap, to cookeware and an excellent amount of pillows. The views are gorgeous and the sound of birds chirping in the morning is music to my ears. Thank you Chris for everything! Highly Recommend, Jessica, Derek, Elijah, Christy, Luke and Kayla! "

Lakefront Cottage with Cozy Cabin Appeal

Would expect more for the price

"The overall cleanliness of the cottage was disappointing . The place needs a deep clean and has an ant problem. There was a questionable stain on the bunkbed which lead us to believe the sheets weren’t swapped before we arrived. The dock has a motor running 24/7 (assuming to keep the water clear) so don’t bet on a quiet morning coffee out on the water. The communication was frustrating at times. For example when asking about the garbage policy, they failed to mention that you need clear bags for all garbage and recycling (not provided) and that there’s a 12 fee to at the dump since they don’t provide a dump card for the house. The couches had the legs removed (pictures don’t reflect this) so they are lower on the floor and much less comfortable. Lastly, they had us buy our own propane for the bbq as it was empty when we arrived. That’s pretty unusual for a cottage rental since the bbq is an amenity provided. Would not stay there again. "
