I do pride myself on my responsiveness to my guests and my attention to all the little details that matter and I know that these things are part of how I make the whole experience better for my guests than my competitors do. Puamana really is a gem and it's in Lahaina off Front Street just a .9 mile walk or drive north to the famous Banyan tree and the beginning of Lahania's many charming shops and restaurants. Clever Trevor endeavors to beat the competition in part by offering extras like beach chairs, and guests often leave beach toys, boogie boards, etc. We've got a wagon to wheel things to the beach access points a few hundred feet away (we're right between 2 of them within the gated Puamana community). Puamana is a destination in itself with surf breaks located behind our gates that open into front street, and surfers often get within 50 feet of you when you are swimming in the ocean pool that is built directly into the sea wall. The ocean pool is for quiet enjoyment, but Puamana offers 2 other pools for active enjoyment, including the Dolphin pool and it's adjacent Children's Playground, about 100 yards from our front door. We've got separate tennis and pickle ball courts too. The historic clubhouse was originally built about 100 years ago and it has a lot of character and charm with massive old growth trees around it, and a huge oceanfront lounging area that can be booked for weddings and special events. As a traveler to my own Maui home, I enjoy being able to just bring a carry on suitcase and my backpack when I fly, and having all my toys, laundry machines, and everything I need for a great stay other than food and drinks. I know that my guests appreciate that convenience as well.

Mahalo for the 5 star review, I LOVE it when guests use words like "perfect" to describe my properties and their vacation experiences and I appreciate being acknowledged for my responsiveness which I take pride in. My Puamana townhome at 167-4 Pualei Drive is very peaceful and quiet. It's just 200 feet from the Pacific ocean and you can see and hear it from inside if you open windows (especially the ones facing the ocean). Puamana has a hedge along the ocean just above the beach and it helps prevent erosion. There are 3 openings in the hedge for beach access, and Clever Trevor's unit 167-4 is conveniently located between 2 of them that are each maybe 400 feet from the townhome. Clever Trevor likes to grab a surfboard from where they're stored under our carport directly in front of our townhome, and walk northwest to Puamana's "middle" beach access point, where the "hot sands" aka "Puamana" surf break is located. It's usually relatively small and very beginner friendly and Clever Trevor has heard it's generally better in summer but Clever Trevor has enjoyed it at all times of the year. If you'd like to see expert surfers, keep going walking a few hundred feet north (still within Puamana's gated community) and visit our Ocean Pool which is built into the sea wall. From the Ocean Pool you can watch expert surfers challenging the experts only "Pools" surf break and come within 50 feet of you. See the pictures in this listing. Puamana is a very unique and special place and you'll feel the aloha when you visit.

Thank you for the kind review. I love being located 200 feet from the ocean and being able to hear the ocean and see peaks of it from the townhome. In fact I'm working on setting up a "murphy" type fold down desk / dedicated work space with a peak ocean view. I also love the two 20 foot by 15 foot outdoor living spaces, the one on the second floor exposed to the sun with lounging chairs and an outdoor sectional couch, and the other directly below on the ground floor and shaded with a dining table for six, an additional seating area, a Weber grill, outdoor shower, and storage for beach chairs and toys. I love that we can store surfboards under the carport at our condo and WALK to our "private" surf breaks located behind the gates of our community at Puamana. Sunset is a *big deal* in west Maui and when you'll visit Puamana 167-4 you're ideally located to enjoy it. My responsiveness to my guests is one of the ways I set myself apart from the competition, and I want my guests to understand that my time and local knowledge is part of what they're paying for, so I always appreciate the opportunity to add value to the vacation experience by answering questions and sharing that local knowledge. I've put a lot of time into my "welcome" letter that is sent to all guests prior to their stay and gives them everything they'd want to know about the townhome, the Puamana community, and includes recommendations for the best activities and dining gleaned from approximately 50 visits to Maui, most of which have happened since I purchased my first vacation rental property here in 2014.
