The best area to stay in La Loma is Úbeda, particularly its historic centre.

Úbeda's historic centre is the heart of the region and a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its stunning Renaissance architecture. The area is very walkable, with many of its key sights, like the Vázquez de Molina Square, the Santa María de los Reales Alcázares, and the Palacio del Deán Ortega, all within a short stroll of each other. You'll find a good selection of quality restaurants and artisan shops located along its narrow, winding streets.

For couples looking for a romantic and culturally rich getaway, the historic centre of Úbeda is ideal. You can enjoy leisurely walks, discover hidden courtyards, and dine in establishments offering traditional Andalusian cuisine. Many hotels here are housed in beautifully restored historic buildings, offering a unique and authentic experience.

Families travelling with older children who appreciate history and culture will also find Úbeda's historic centre a fantastic base. The compact nature of the area makes it easy to explore on foot, and the impressive monuments provide a captivating backdrop for learning about Spain's Renaissance period.

The best time to visit La Loma is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and historic towns without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the countryside lush and green, particularly in spring, with wildflowers in bloom, which is lovely for couples looking for scenic walks and outdoor dining.

Travel in July and August is also an option, particularly for families planning a summer holiday. While temperatures can be quite high, often exceeding 30°C, the longer daylight hours allow for extended evenings. Many accommodations have swimming pools, and you'll find plenty of opportunities for refreshing dips in local rivers or reservoirs.
