"We loved the ambience of this place. Driving in at night was whimsical with mushroom lights guiding the way. The room was artsy and fun. Breakfast was picture-worthy and the hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. This felt like a great starting point for our Costa Rica trip with a more authentic feel."

"The accommodations were both clean and spacious. However, the exceptional service provided by the reception and administrative staff truly stood out. I have a medical condition that necessitates traveling with refrigerated medication, and I inadvertently overlooked the absence of a shared kitchen facility. Upon discussing this with the administrator, I was informed that only the deluxe suites, which are a higher price point, included a refrigerator. Nevertheless, the staff demonstrated...

"Me parece un lugar bonito y acogedor, la vista del balcón es espectacular y si se animan pueden ir a un tour de caballos. Don Hipólito y su familia hacen acogedor el lugar."

"Absolutely lovely little cabins with a great view. The owner's family runs the place, and they really make you feel welcome. Breakfast is always a highlight!"

"Stunning property! Exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of hiking on property to do. They offer guided nature tours. Our guide was wonderful and pointed out many animals we would never have found on our own. We also had a delicious dinner on site. The only issue is the road to get to the hotel. Tons of pot holes and difficult to travel. I felt bad for our Ubers who brought us to and from town, which was about 30min drive. Otherwise, it was an amazing stay!"
"My family of 4 (two adults and two kids ages 9 and 12) stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while on vacation in La Fortuna. Overall this hotel was a great option for our family to stay at while we were on vacation. This hotel is a great value and worth the money you pay to stay here.
The room- positives:
We had a relatively basic room that we were very happy with. It was HUGE and we had lots of space that was great for us. Room was very clean and well cleaned daily. It was very quiet and excellent for sleeping after a busy day!
The room- neutral/negatives:
-There is no fridge in the room and getting access to ice wasn't easy (just a super long trek from our room and they would give you a tiny amount.) The water from the tap also isn't cold so getting cold water was difficult.
-Apparently in La Fortuna there is a water shut off that happens nightly at 10:00 p.m. It would have been nice if the front desk had given us a heads up on this when we arrived. One night I wasn't able to shower or brush my teeth as planned!
Restaurant:
- We did not like the restaurant and I would recommend avoiding it. It's expensive and the service was not good at any time of day....breakfast or dinner.
The view from this hotel is amazing and the highlight for sure. From our room we had a clear view of the volcano and it was beautiful!!
Overall we were satisfied with our stay. It was good value. It wasn't luxurious by any means but it checked all the boxes of the things we needed."
"This is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed at! Its absolutely beautiful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Very clean. The pool was a lot of fun for our 6 year old daughter. The breakfast was incredible! We would stay here again in a heart beat. Shout out to the whole staff team at this hotel. You really know how to make sure guests are well taken care of and happy."
"This property was beautiful! Staff was helpful and the check in was seamless. Breakfast was should not be missed and was huge. Food was great and a huge variety of food and the staff was so helpful. The hot springs were perfect for lounging, and the pool area was well maintained. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic. Happy hour at the pool bar was confusing and seemed to be overpriced despite the "deal". We went during the rainy season and still had a great time! Don't miss the white water rafting and hanging bridges close to the resort."
"Super glad I picked this hotel. We didn’t want to leave. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They serve a really nice breakfast with a lot of variety of foods. The accommodations are individual bungalows with covered porches surrounded by beautiful rainforest foliage. Huge heated pool where you can swim up to the bar. Also has a hot tub and another large cooler pool. It is about 5 minutes outside of La Fortuna and feels like you are way out in the boonies. I had a hard time choosing which hotel to stay at during our time at La Fortuna but I’m so glad this was the one I chose."
