The worst experience ever. We have stayed in many hotels in Mexico and have never encountered such unprofessional service & disgusting accommodations. I read all the negative reviews prior to booking but like always I believed that not everyone’s taste & expectations will be the same. Well I was fooled this time.
We thought we were staying in the newer hotel tower as the photos showed those rooms. We were put in the older hotel, rooms 105 & 305. The rooms smelled like sewage, many things didn’t work. The rooms weren’t fully equipped or checked before we arrived things like no dishes, cutlery, coffee maker, a microwave that works, garbage cans, wifi didn’t work, sheets & towels looked dirty & stained, light bulbs burned out, dead batteries in almost all the remotes for tv’s, a/c & ceiling fans, the wood planks were lifting on the patio floor which was a tripping hazard for our grandchildren, and much more. We spent 4 of the 9 days trying to get all these things fixed which was another problem. All the employees didn’t speak or understand English so we had to wait until the front desk supervisor (Lilly) was on shift in order to get things done. The so called room service was a nightmare, again communication problem. The food at the hotel was awful. Fortunately we went to the Mega store & did our own cooking which was challenging because of the lack of supplies in the kitchen. The maid service was inconsistent, some days no clean towels. Don’t recommend this place.
