Lovely hotel located near Kyoto station. Hotel has a boutique feel about, lovely modern style, very friendly helpful staff. One of the best breakfasts we have had in Japan! Nice touch was the included snack/drink in the afternoon.

The staff was very great and pleasant! The breakfast was excellent and had very great choices. The bathrooms barely had any hooks to hang your clothes. The air condition was ok but could have been better cooling ! Kyoto station is walkable distance as well as Kyoto tower ! Room service was good. Thank you Mercure hotel and staff for a great stay

Overall really great hotel. A little further away from Kyoto Station than I anticipated (about 12 min walk - keep in mind it was rainy and hot outside). Staff at the front desk were very good, although I had to ask for the turndown service after check-in, which provides a free drink. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of variety. Rooms were spacious, although the headboard of the bed is odd and makes it difficult to access the nightstand. No Onsite Laundry is a minus. The coin laundry is a few blocks away. They should have a service setup for that for a nicer hotel.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic, from the reception staff to the room, housekeeping, and breakfast. We had upgraded to a Privileged Room, and, unbeknownst to us, it included an amazing afternoon drinks service from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The selection included beer, wine, sake, gin, tea, coffee, and hot snacks, which was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s conveniently located close to the train station and within easy walking distance of many restaurants. The excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and added benefits made our stay truly enjoyable.
