Hotel has wonderful, large rooms with kitchens. Very close to train stations, local shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff are very friendly with a self service bag drop before checkin. Loved it!

Clean and spacious room, close to grocery stores and shibori museum. A soaking tub was a great treat after so much walking. Nijo-Jo castle is a must see.

Could not have been happier with this property and will definitely return if we are in Kyoto again. I’m super picky and we loved everything about it. Had the standard room and it was more than enough for our needs.

We (party of 3) stayed in a deluxe double room and the room size was huge! It had a kitchen area that even had a stove and sink. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only small issue is that there is no 24/7 front desk/reception staff so be aware of that if you are checking in super early/late. Highly recommend this property though.

We had a large 50sqm room. I thought I had booked a room with 2 beds but there was only one king. Fortunately the lounge was a sofa bed and our son found this very comfortable. We highly recommend this property for location, comfort and value for money

Lovely Kyoto hotel.

Very nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Walkable to Nijo Castle. Convenient walking to subway stations. Be aware front desk only staffed from 2pm to 10pm. Checkin is at the hotel during those times. ResiStay also has a central checkin office next to Kyoto station for all their other rental properties but is a madhouse. There was some confusing emails about checkin procedures. Highly compliment Hideyo for her helpfulness and advice about restaurant recommendations within walking distance.

This is a pretty good　serviced apartment at a pretty good price. It was clean and had nice amenities. The room was great. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The area is fine, not much in the immediate area but very close to downtown and midtown. Conveniently located next to Subway Station.

The stay was great, the staff were friendly and the place was clean. My deluxe room was very large and the beds were large and comfortable. There was a hair dryer and hair straightener, shampoo and conditioner, razor and toothbrush. I am not giving it 5 stars because there is no washing machine in the building so you need to go to a nearby laundromat (for a separate payment). Also, we had asked several times to check in ONE HOUR early due to a work appointment after our arrival, but they were unable to do so, even though their check out times are 11am and check in times are from 2pm. Also, there is no staff at the reception before 2pm so it was impossible to leave your luggage in custody (you could leave it behind the reception desk without any checks). Very sorry because a hotel must provide the possibility of early check in!

This is not a full-service hotel. There are no staff available till the check-in time. It means if you want to leave the luggage, it is possible, but they would be unattended. Japan is safe, but still, it is not the best procedure. The room is large enough to accommodate opening up several suitcases and bags. The bathroom was clean, but there was some dust on the vanity shelf that had not been cleaned up enough. The location is okay; if you have many items to carry, calling a taxi is recommended for checking in and out.

Great, roomy property for a family of three. It was sweltering when we were in Kyoto so we wished the hotel was a little bit closer to some of the temples and shrines we wanted to visit. We found that we did quite a bit of walking and often taking buses to the same areas, away from the hotel. Overall those locations quite good and if the weather wasn’t so bad, I think it would’ve been fine. The closet space is great and it is nice to have room to spread out. It would be nice to have something other than local channels available to watch on TV at the end of a long day — but that is a very minor issue. Beds were super comfy. One of the staff members we saw a few times was absolutely lovely. On the other days, the two younger staff didn’t really acknowledge us. I would really recommend this hotel for families.

Our room was massive, even better than we could have hoped for. A small kitchen meant we could have food reheated from the host of convenience stores round the corner. We would highly recommend and would stay again in one of we had the option.
