Absolutely loved this hotel! It was very clean, the staff very nice, and the rooms were pretty great size. It was walking distance to what we wanted and there’s orange juice and cold water in the lobby always as well as coffee. It’s in an area away from the crowds of people which I appreciate. Definitely book if you’re visiting Kyoto!

Great central location for branching out into Kyoto. Room was simple but nice and clean (and quite spacious by Japanese standards). Continental breakfast was basic but good enough. The staff were helpful. This is a great value for money base for those visiting Kyoto.

Perfectly situated to all of Kyoto.

First time traveling to Kyoto so we were unsure about the location during booking but once we landed and checked in this area was perfect for our needs. It offered close proximity to transit and walking distance to everything Kyoto ha to offer. Rooms were impeccable and offered exactly what we needed in a hotel. It was just a perfect place to stay for our 3 day trip to Kyoto.

Stayed on the 10th floor with a view of the Canal, Gion, and the hills. Room had a tea platform area. Room has a wooden motif and lots of accent lighting for ambiance. The 8 nozzle shower is something to be experienced. The staff was courteous and friendly.

The hotel and staff are very polite and professional. Around the area is not much going on. No walkable. Every sightseeing is 30-45 mins away from the hotel. No night life, everything closed around at 9 pm.

this place is amazing. me and two friends stayed in a room with 3 separate beds. it was perfect. the room design was beautiful. space was excellent within context of Japanese hotels. the shower and sink are separate from the toilet room which made it extremely convenient when getting ready. the location is amazing. walking distance from the best restaurants and bars in kyoto located along the river and another short walk to Gion. the staff was incredibly nice and professional. I can't recommend this hotel enough. ill def stay here again.

Staff were awesome very attentive and helpful. They tried very hard at communicating in English and were quite good. Love the location close to pontocho eateries and many hidden gems. Walkable to the main shopping centers. Rooms are moderate size compare to shoe boxes I've seen and the hotel is modern and well equipped. A decent surprised was the morning light breakfast that was included and provided some morning coffee and pasteries.

Amazing Location and Service

Great location and amazing staff! The rooms were spacious enough and prestene clean. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was so close to many attractions and/or transportation. We were able to walk to a lot of the temples and other locations qe wanted to visit. The only complaint I had was the number of washing machines. We packed light for our trip and there were only two machines for the whole building, which is not enough at all. In addition, the machines were washing and drying and drying part takes too long, which means people if someone starts using those machines it would take hours before anyone else can. Languange was also another issue. The hotel was full of foreign tourists like us and so I would expect it would be easier to communicate in English. The staff was very kind and still doing their best but it is hard to use Google translate back and forth everytime.
