Comfortable bed but I can't imagine the small room for two people for more than one night. Breakfast is fantastic and the ladies working are top notch. Sadly the restaurant is let down by the sour Russian waiter and insane wait time at dinner for a simple plate of food. Two tables will back up the kitchen. Avoid at dinner.

Hotel Tou was such a beautiful hotel to stay in. The staff were amazing and helpful. The food was great. Location is kinda far from some of the main attractions in Kyoto however it’s about a 10 min walk to the closest subway station and 8 minutes walk from Kyoto Station. Overall loved our stay there and highly recommend utilizing the utilities such as the onsen if possible!

Great hotel and great value. Enjoyed the Japanese breakfast. Rooms are small but worked fine for one person. They provide great toiletries if you're running low. Basement also has laundry facility. If you have a lot to wash you will probably want to use the coin laundry down the street- the hotel has only 2 small machines. Would stay here again

Great service, in reception total disposition to help to carry over my luggage to my next hotel. Always kind and efficient. The rooms are comfortable. The public bath is nice and great schedule window up to 1 am. Definitely a catch!

Very chic hotel! Nice Onsen and minimal staff. We signed up for breakfast but it was the exact same meal every day. Would have been nice to have a rotation of different selection. Overall good experience in a central location and can walk to many places located close to train station.

although the room was nice, staff was so rude. Checking in 30 minutes before check in time was not possible, changing my breakfast meal a day before was not possible. (Breakfast was terrible btw) I honestly felt they were so inhospitable, that it made me dread talking to staff. Breakfast staff was rude just because of dietary restrictions. It was just a bad vibe on my honeymoon, which you would not expect from such a highly rated stay. Also, I was charged a lot of money just because someone else joined my party, which makes no sense because we stayed in the same room so what’s the point of charging more. There’s even a fee if you have too much trash.

Absolutely spotless property, amazing amenities and service. Restaurant on site was delicious ( dinner). Breakfast was the same every day. Room was very authentic! However... it's perfect for only 2 people. We traveled with a teenager and 3 luggages and there was absolutely no space for 3 of us plus luggage. Again, great room for only 2 people. 2 Restaurants on the same block were delicious! Staff was outstanding!
