"A very traditional country house, in a beautiful location, this hotel remains pleasingly original and extremely welcoming. The General Manager is almost omnipresent and leads from the front; he appears unfailingly eager to help guests and to enquire as to whether there’s any little thing that could make a guest’s stay more pleasant. There’s no air conditioning, no corporate standardisation, no pool or gym, and no sprawling extensions of Airfix basic guest rooms. Instead, it’s a nearly three hundred year old house and home that now welcomes those who appreciate the history, the spacious comfort, the hospitality and the wonderful setting."

"The food was all fresh, both breakfasts and dinner. I felt very safe in the hotel and town. The staff was amazing and very accomodating. Alish, Rose and everyone else was great."

Paula is a wonderful host and not only had nice things waiting for us when we arrived, but she also was accommodating in heavy snowfall. We are absolutely going to come back to this charming, beautiful, cottage in a gorgeous part of the highlands. What a gem!"

"An out of the way, very comfortable and welcoming, stay for the road-weary, traveling the highlands… only regret is that our itinerary prevented us staying longer! Out of the way but close enough to anything you’re visiting in the area, Skye, Eileen Donan… "

"Stayed with family for 3 nights. We loved this place. Ample parking spaces. Restaurant and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast lounge was stocked with cereal, milk, utensils etc. Only suggestion I'd give would be to replace the cutleries twice a day instead of once. Since people do bring takeaway food and eat in the lounge during the evenings, the cutleries get used up a lot and very few is left out for when we go for breakfast in the mornings. This is probably why there were reviews that used dishes were still on the food trolley."
