"Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting Kawagoe with its historic 'Edo Town', as the nearest station (Matoba) is just two stops away. The very kind owner/host offers a comfortable place to stay with excellent hospitality and flexibility for not just solo travellers but couples and even small groups. The location is just a short walk from the station with plenty of shops nearby to meet your short-term shopping needs. The spacious room with the basic furnishings proved to be a great...

"My stay was incredible, staff were very helpful and never hesitant to answer my questions. The ryokan is very charming and it feels homey, especially coming down for breakfast in the morning! Would definitely stay here again, it’s close to the train station too. Thank you!"

"The Toe Library is a gem. Yoshi was such a wonderful host that my 9-year-old daughter is still talking about our time there. Would recommend for anyone seeking personal Japanese hospitality at its finest and amenities you never knew you needed ... colored pencils, music player, Mt. Fuji bath products and a neat little book collection."

"The first thing you should know is that this is not a hotel. It's an apartment with two flats, one on the second floor and one on the third floor, above a storefront about half way between the Ueno and Asakusa stations. That said, it's not bad as a rental apartment, and was a good fill-in for us when our Air BnB booking was cancelled on short notice. All of the communication with the owner was via the Expedia site - we never met anyone in person, but got check-in instructions via messages...

"Communication was wonderful and the property was more than promised. As US residents and first time visitors to Japan, it took a little time to understand the functions of the space. After a couple of hours all became crystal clear. We cooked in all evening meals, the kitchen is very comfortable and stocked abundantly with utensils and bar ware. Good neighborhood shopping within walking distance as well as metro station. We spent 5 days here and ventured out by rail every day."

"I came for Godzilla (and was thrilled just for that), but the rest of the hotel was great too! My room was clean and comfortable, with amenities both practical and luxurious. The staff was super helpful and the cafe was awesome. I will be staying again! "
"Super Clean rooms and sheets, comfortable bed, instructions all laid out on TV guide. Great areas with lots of food and Museum nearby. Walking distance to train station.
Highly recommended place to stay at affordable price."
"Great Hotel to stay at , very clean and spacious rooms with amazing views of the City or even Mt Fuji on a clear day. Amazing Aquarium, Bowling, Golf and plenty of restaurants. Great Hospitality and room service... "
"This was an excellent hotel. Everything we wanted out of a hotel. I liked it was in a quieter section of Tokyo. It was walking distance to some attractions and the train station was close. "
"Staff was great, room was spotless and the breakfast was incredible. They push the free members club pretty hard on check-in, but you get 2 free drinks at the restaurant or bar, so I can't complain too much."
