For a Jamaica hotel with this review, I was very very disappointed in the breakfast choices, they're serving American breakfast and not Jamaican breakfast. The Jamaican breakfast was for and extra charge, very disappointed. I stay at multiple hotels in New Kingston Jamaica for many years and the all served Jamaican breakfast, from Spanish Court, Terra nova, Courtleigh and even Altamacourt with Jamaican breakfast, with the rate for a room at R Hotel, Jamaican breakfast should be a part of the breakfast, Very very disappointed, I was there for 14 days and I only went to breakfast once and I only had a cup of cold coffee, I had breakfast off the property for my entire 14 days stay, I definitely won't be returning to this R Hotel unless the change the breakfast system and serve Jamaican breakfast, for evensake this is Jamaica and visitors want JAMAICAN BREAKFAST, until they get with the program and start serving JAMAICAN BREAKFAST like the other hotels in their area the will be start losing guests because I'm definitely won't be returning unless they change that system, I'm also very sure that other guests felt the same way. Please change your policy this is Jamaica visitor comes for the food as well as our great culture, change this.

Positive: cleanliness, staff was polite, room was clean, location convenient, nice balcony, amazing loft! Negative: outer appearance wasn’t very appealing, the bed was hard, not many good options for breakfast, pool not in service. Overall I would highly recommend for a quick stay in Kingston. I was most appreciative of polite staff as I have had some terrible encounters and the clean rooms.

I didn’t or my son Delquan did not get to go to the property. I tried calling Expedia to cancel to no avail and I also tried to cancel with chat bot which could not locate my account or reservation. It was a complete disaster.

I first love the friendliness of the staff at the hotel, I love that you have to have a key to even go up the Elevator to your floor, great security. I love the room how large it was and that it has all I really needed. Love the fast response from the hotel when I asked for help with the Ac in operating it and other things I needed, I did not have to wait a long time to get it. Everything was wonderful about the hotel and staff, one downfall was the continental breakfast, it was not much at all to choose from but my only thing I dislike is that the hot water to make tea was always very luke warm, it would not even dilute the tea back it was so kind of cold, love the Jamaican breakfast i got once, just was not enough food, yam, banana, dumplins etc. but it was really tasty. Kitchen staff was pleasant and friendly. Housekeeping was great and on top of their job, did not use them but they provided all I ask for everytime. Overall I had a great stay at the R Hotel, my first time and proably will not be my last God's willing.

Very nice hotel but no amenities. The restaurant was closed and only open for breakfast with no bar open for drinks. Only Continental breakfast was served and you had to pay for the Jamaican breakfast. I was not a happy person after hearing this at check in.

Access to the pool was unavailable, and the restaurant was closed for lunch, dinner, and all dining options (except Breakfast), which diminished the overall experience at the hotel. Despite these issues, the staff still delivered commendable customer service.

R hotel team members were warm and very attentive, I couldn't ask for more from them. Mgmt, pls "hurry up" with the renovations for the restaurant. My intention was to spend 10 days at R, but had to go elsewhere because I didn't want to keep ordering my meals from an outside source. Delivery fees add up.

I like that it was safe by using my key card even on the elevator very quiet .what i did not like there was no pool or lunch or dinner due to renovation but the wifi sucks i could not communicate with my family or love ones in a phone conversation i have to text or voice note and wait for response othe than the it was good the servers for breakfast was excellent the attendants at the gate was great

Highly recommend if you're traveling to Kingston. Kind and professional staff. They are currently remodeling the pool so some amenities and services may be limited. Fortunately, the property is located near plenty of attractions and restaurants to compensate.
