While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

Location, location, location! Not only is this a newly built home, but it's a custom home RIGHT in the heart of Kings Beach. This colorful and classy five-bedroom sits only a few blocks from beautiful sandy beaches on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Why not spend a month living like a local at this adorable retreat where you can walk from your doorstep to multiple beach areas, restaurants, bars, and cute local shops in the area.

This spectacular home brings a touch of uniqueness to your vacation. All five bedrooms boast tasteful and upscale decor themed by individual colors of the rainbow. These colors are highlighted in remarkable wallpapers, incredible duvets, and note-worthy light fixtures, making the home feel like a storybook you get to live in. This home is perfect for two families with a bedding configuration that will work for everyone, including three bedrooms equipped with ensuite bathrooms and two kids' rooms. On top of the plentiful sleeping arrangements, there is also a den/kid's media room upstairs with a desk for those needing to work from home!

The main level of this home is perfect for entertaining with a bright and open living room & kitchen set up. The kitchen is designed to look over the living room, helping the chef of the family stay connected during family time while the rest of the group is gathered around the coffee table playing board games or watching the Sunday game. During the summer months, the back patio is where you will want to be with bbq, outdoor furniture, and a During the Summer its fenced-in backyard and, patio are great for soaking in the sun or playing yard games.

If you are looking for an easy, convenient, and stylish vacation, look no further. Once you park the car, you are within walking distance of everything you will need. Walk over to Tahoe Paddle and Oar and rent paddleboards or kayaks for a day out on the lake. Don't miss having dinner at Jason's Beachside Grill or Whitecaps Pizza, two of our favorite lakefront dining spots. If you want to go somewhere further than you'd like to walk but still rather leave the car at home, you can rent bikes nearby or even check out the local Tart Connect, which is a free taxi around the local Kings Beach area.

-Although 80% of our properties are pet-friendly - this is NOT a pet-friendly property. Please be respectful of this. We do not consider service animals pets. If you bring a dog, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.

IMPORTANT:
On March 11th 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
•Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
•Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
•Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 2

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2.As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3.By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID, is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation and transportation services.

Great getaway
The house was very clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. It was two blocks from the beach. Three rooms are en-suite and two rooms share a full bath with a powder room downstairs. I would stay here again with delight.

Rainbow Retreat
I’ve been renting family vacation houses for 32 years and this one is in the top 3. Almost every bedroom has a bathroom, the location is close to activity, easy walking distances for a busy family meeting friends, nicely appointed kitchen for cooking - checked off nearly all my boxes. Would definitely rent it again! Thank you for a clean and cared-for property.

Rainbow Retreat
We rented Rainbow Retreat for a weeks family vacation. There were 8 adults and a 3.5 yr old. The house held us all wonderfully. The beds were VERY comfortable and the bedrooms ample. The 4.5 bathrooms were clean and plentiful....no line no wait. The location is as good as it gets. A short 4 minute walk to Kings Beach and all the shops close by along with easy access to walking trails make this a 5 star VRBO. We cooked a lot of meals and the kitchen and island made it easy to crank out the meals. The gas fireplace made the cool alpine nights cozy and comfy. The furnishings and decoration are both comfortable and subtle. We all loved our stay at Rainbow Cottage! We hope to return!

Great for 2 families!
This house was perfect for two families to stay for the week. Total of 4 adults and 5 kids ages 9, 7, 5, and 2 yr old twins. The two master bedrooms made it a plus for the adults. Easy access to King’s Beach and restaurants as it’s only 1 block off the main road. There’s even a cute little library at the end of the block that the 2 year olds enjoyed. Hiking trails a few blocks behind the house. We had no issues with parking 2 cars. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking to stay near King’s Beach!

I. LOVE. THIS. HOUSE.
I absolutely loved this property! It is completely brand new and redone, and they did everything to perfection. The house is super clean, colorful, comfortable, spacious and fun. They really paid attention to the details - from the fantastic art, to the cozy furnishings, to the color and cheeriness of each and every room. Our two families (with kids) stayed for several nights and had plenty of room and space. We were so comfortable we wanted to stay longer. The kids especially enjoyed playing in the snow in the large, fenced in backyard. This was a godsend - snow forts and snowball fights galore (i.e., hours outside). The proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants is unbeatable. We were able to walk to Whitecaps Pizza (great) to pick up our order and bring home - no biggie even in the middle of winter. The property manager was friendly and responsive. All around this was a fantastic trip, and we can't wait to book again. I bet it is even better in the summer with its ideal location, in close proximity to the lake. We will be back for that!

Wonderful stay in beautiful new house
So many things to love about this property! The beach is right across the street, and the sunsets are gorgeous. Very quick access to Northstar, Truckee and Incline Village. We found a new place to hike each day. The house is exactly as pictured and filled with amenities that make it feel like home. We cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner for 8! Living area is well suited for playing games or hanging out. Beds and pillows are super comfy. Highly recommend!

Great house in North Tahoe!
House was great! What you see in pics is exactly what you get. Grill & fire pit in back was nice. Location couldn’t be better. Just 5 minutes out front door. Safeway less than a mile away so you can pick up your groceries & alcohol there. Highly recommend this rental!
