Peaceful, charming cabin stay

A Snowy Spring Break to Remember
Our VRBO stay in Lake Tahoe was nothing short of spectacular. The property seemed miles away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by beautiful pines but a short trip to everything you need at King's Beach. The accommodation itself was impeccably maintained, with cozy furnishings that made us feel right at home. The kitchen area had all we needed to make snacks and meals and the stove and fridge are brand new. The layout provided ample room for our group, ensuring everyone had their own space to relax and unwind after a day of outdoor adventures. One of the highlights of our stay was the easy access to outdoor activities. We enjoyed snowmobiling, hiking around the backcountry at Spooner Lake and photos at the scenic spots around all sides of Lake Tahoe. Additionally, the property's proximity to local attractions, Truckee and dining options made it convenient to explore the area. The VRBO host was incredibly hospitable, and extremely knowledgable. We said more than once we were happy we took her advice! The attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a memorable experience truly set them apart. Overall, our VRBO stay in Lake Tahoe exceeded all expectations. From the stunning location to the comfortable accommodations and exceptional hospitality, it was the perfect getaway. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable vacation.

We loved our stay!
This was a wonderful and cozy cabin, perfect for a weekend in the snow! It was a great size for the two of us, had a well stocked kitchen, great heating, and a beautiful forrest right out the back door! Linda was very friendly and responsive, greeted us when we arrived and gave us some tips on where to get good sledding in but we never saw her otherwise. We already want to come back and stay again.

Lovely Place very peaceful

Linda was great, and the property is even better than described. Such a comfortable place to base out of for a week of hiking and sightseeing. Easy walk to the beach and miles and miles of trails right out the back door. Absolutely a perfect stay.

Clean and Great Location
My parents stayed here for a wedding. The cabin was well stocked with all the necessities. It was also very clean and well kept. This made the stay very enjoyable and comfortable! The host was friendly and available. This made the stay much less stressful for my parents since it was their first time staying at a VRBO without me. Finding the location and accessing the cabin was all made super easy and it lessened the stress for them. Great place and would recommend!

40th Anniversary
Upon arrival we were surprised to see the owners house so close. However, it didn’t take long for us to forget that it was even there! Linda, does a great job communicating, and available any time. Otherwise you would never know she was there. We spent most of our time sitting behind the cabin and it felt like we were all alone in the National Forest, which adjoins to her property. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We stayed here for our 40th anniversary and Linda had a bottle of champagne and two glasses in the refrigerator waiting for us. We definitely would stay again!

Cozy 4th of July Cabin
This was such a great spot for me and my fiancé to get away and enjoy the beauty of North Lake Tahoe. Linda the owner was such an amazing person who made our stay very comfortable. Quiet cabin at the edge of the forest
We got into Tahoe super early, and we were able to check-in about 4 hours early after calling Linda. She met with us when we checked in and gave us a quick rundown of the property. The cabin is well-equipped and spacious for two people. The sink was clogged when we first came in, and Linda came in to fix it while we were out, which was very kind of her. The thermometer is hooked up to natural gas fires around the house, and it made colder nights very cozy. We grilled outside for dinner and cooked inside for other meals while watching some tv. The cabin is also close to several trailheads which we explored over two days. Unfortunately, we couldn't have wood fires during wildfire season, but the cabin has a gas fire pit that we could've used. We were not allowed to put food or "anything else" down the sink, so we avoided washing dishes. We also would have appreciated aluminum foil for grilling some veggies, but we were fine without it. Overall, a lovely, quiet, and well-equipped cabin at the edge of the Tahoe National Forest.

Lady was almost harassing with consistent calls and texts. Lied about issues. It’s a little hunting cabin that hasn’t been updated since your great Grandmom lived there. Possibly hoarders yard was full of trash and debris.

Since this is the only communication/response from you before,during or after you booked I assume it is in retaliation for the damage report I filed (missing/broken/damaged items, strong pungent marijuana smell). **Harassment —I sent my normal email communication“Welcome” (upon booking); “Information sheet/day trips” (week before your stay);”Goodbye/thank you/safe journey”( day of departure). Two “as needed” emails; day of arrival letting you know I would not be able to greet you so would check in with you later that day to make sure you arrived safely and to see if you had any questions;30 second follow up call (as promised) that evening to see if you had any concerns; after departure to notify you and ask for information regarding missing/damaged items and strong pungent marijuana smell. No response to any of the emails. VRBO(not me) sent you 2 payment requests; access instructions; notification the damage claim.The only communication you provided to me was this review several days after my damage request was filed. I’m unclear how my normal communications or how VRBO’s automated méssages can be considered harassment. ** Lied about issues. What issues? Broken/missing/damaged items; sources of smell— finger size marijuana joint in the bedroom; bag from a NV dispensary with multiple items(roach,marijuana gummies, marijuana buds)are all documented. **Hoarder/trash/debris—I live on the property. I am not a hoarder. STR’s in Placer County are licensed, highly regulated, monitored and regularly inspected. Trash in the yard would cause me to lose my license. There is no trash in the yard. Last winter was the most severe winter at Tahoe for 75 years. Snow was over 12’ high in the yard. Tree limbs/branches,wires fell. In May snow was in the yard and winter clean up wasn’t finished. **Grandmas house- well my grandmas house was really nice. The location/access to the forest trails is the beauty of the property.

Wonderful Winter Get Away
Our host Linda was awesome. Prior to our arrival she made sure that the driveway was cleared of snow and that the path leading to the cabin was packed down. There was deep snow packed all around the cabin, but the cabin was warm, comfortable and had everything that we needed. There is a grocery store and nice restaurants within a very short drive from the cabin. The views from a drive around the lake are breathtaking. The highlight of our trip was snowshoe hiking through the freshly fallen snow in national forest behind the cabin. Absolutely beautiful. We hope to be able to visit again soon.

Cozy Tahoe cabin in the woods
My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at Linda's cabin. Linda warmly greeted us when we arrived and was close by in case we needed anything, but really the cabin does have everything you need. It was a winter wonderland we won't soon forget. The gas stoves that heat the cabin (they look like wood stoves but you don't have to tend to them) made for a very cozy ambiance as the snow was falling. Linda was very kind and put out snowshoes for us to borrow as well. I would recommend 4WD or AWD in the winter as snowfall this year has been substantial. We hope to return soon. Thanks Linda!

Very cute cabin right on the edge of the woods. Only a few blocks from downtown Kings Beach. Linda was as nice as could be! Cabin has everything two people could need. Looks bigger online than it really is but it was fine.

AMAZING LITTLE CABIN IN THE WOODS!
The cabin is perfect for a quiet stay at Lake Tahoe with a private driveway and beautiful backdrop. Backing up to the National Forest provided a beautiful scene to relax while starting the day and winding down for the night. Communication with the owner was easily available but not necessary because there were details provided that answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend this property and would stay there again without any hesitation at all! A +

This property is everything and more, and thank you Linda for welcoming us and allowing us to stay! It was very cozy and a good space for just my husband and me: We barely stayed indoors and instead, ventured more outside in the backyard and trails surrounding the place. All so beautiful and peaceful to be surrounded by the forest. Location is convenient, close to King’s Beach as well as Incline Village. Would definitely come back to stay once we get the chance again!

Relaxing in North Shore Lake Tahoe
This is an ideal property for two people. The cabin is immaculate and beautifully supplied. It's within easy walking distance to several North Shore activities, but far enough away to be wonderfully quiet. Linda, the owner, was delightful and very easy to communicate with.

Great Stay, Friendly Host
Had a great stay! Linda is very communicative and accommodated a last minute change. The place is located in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood behind a larger house. The place felt private and was well-stocked with activities and any needs we had. It was clean and organized with things like beach towels, cute picnic baskets and a cooler to make the most of our stay. Linda even provided a fun treat for a friends' birthday we celebrated! Overall, we had a wonderful stay, thank you, Linda!

A Great Lake Tahoe Cabin
My wife and I stayed at this property for 7 nights. My wife and I like to cook and we found the cabin's kitchen completely stocked. There is a gas stove, a full refrigerator, a nice sitting table and some very cool cutlery. The bedroom is up a few steps from the living area however we found the queen bed to be quite comfortable. There is a full bathroom right off of the bedroom which worked well. The cabin is very clean and offers a quaint living room with TV and a nice chair and pullout sofa. One of our favorite spots was just outside the bedroom outdoor entrance. There is a nice patio with a tall table and chairs. We found ourselves there relaxing and watching a Mountain Chickadee family build their nest and soaking in the peaceful forest. There are some nice trails right behind the property which we would hike on, and we even found a nice mountain stream gently meandering along. Lake Tahoe is drop dead gorgeous and their is plenty to do there. We suggest checking the weather forecast and plan your activities accordingly-one day we were enjoying a sunny day on King's Beach and the next day there were snow flurries. Linda the owner was very accommodating and even was thoughtful enough to welcome us with a bottle of champagne and a nice note for our belated 36th wedding anniversary. This place is a gem and we would love to go back one day. Book it now.

We were close to everything, owner as all information you need you will need sitting on counter when you get there. Bed very comfortable. Owner was so willing to work with me. Had to reschedule and she helped me figure out best time to come. It was perfect. Had everything to make Easter dinner in kitchen. We will be back. Plus easy drive. Trails out the back door.

long weekend in winter
I stayed in the cabin while skiing on a long weekend. Everything was great: the cabin is thoroughly maintained, nicely furnished, very clean. Well-stocked kitchen. The host greets guests on arrival making sure everything is in order. I had enjoyable evenings and restful nights between skiing days.
