Beautiful Cabin
We went for a quick getaway with our dogs so they could see snow. We will absolutely be booking this cabin for any of our Tahoe trips. We’re already talking about coming back (without the dogs) to stay again and inviting family from Las Vegas. Can’t recommend this cabin enough, perfect size, beautiful, peaceful, the lake is right there, hiking spots are close by. We’re going to be repeat customers for sure!

Cozy Cabin By the Lake
We have stayed at Chipmunk 4 or 5 times and love it every time. The wall of windows looking out at the pines and lake make it very calming. We love to watch the snow fall through the pine trees and cover the ground with a white blanket. The hot tub is amazing to take in the scenery, serenity and to soak off the aches after skiing. Everything is very clean and cozy. We want to come back each year!

Wonderful Stay!
We greatly enjoyed our stay! My husband and I stayed for my 40th birthday and we had a wonderful time! The cabin is beautiful and the hot tub made the stay extra special! It was nice to have the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The owner was extremely helpful and immediately available when we needed some assistance. We will be staying here again!!

Great cabin. Kitchen had all the amenities. Nice towels in the bathroom. The kids enjoyed the games and puzzles. It was lovely being so close to the lake and such a short walk from the actual beach.

Really enjoyed Eileen and Mikes cabin! Great location, loved the hot tub, enjoyed the hot tub! Nice to have items for cooking and cleaning on premise too. Have recommended this cabin to skiing friends 😊

Beautiful cabin near town.
This cabin was close to the water and also the restaurants and walking paths. The lower level has been updated with newer appliances and flooring. Very homey! We took a day trip to Donner Pass Memorial Park and enjoyed staying in on a cold day. Just south of the cabin was a walking trail right next to the lake. It was an easy paved walk with spectacular views. Eileen had an easy check in process and informed us of an internet issue during the Thursday Night Football game. Great stay!!

Wonderful Cabin with one exception
We had a wonderful stay. However the stairs to the bedrooms proved to be a bit of a challenge for us on our nightly bathroom visits. We are capable to climb and descend stairs but these stairs are somewhat steep with a turn step that can be challenging when you’re half asleep. Luckily an air mattress was provided which we used to sleep downstairs.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway
Quant home nestled next to the lake. Perfect location for Northshore activities. Plenty of amenities provided for biking, hiking, and kayaking. Finish your day next to the fire pit or in the hot tub.

Perfect Cabin!
We loved our stay. The cabin has everything you need. Beautiful views of lake! 10 minute walk to downtown Kings Beach restaurants and to the lake. We didn’t use any of the amenities such as kayaks, fire pit, and bikes. We loved sitting on the back deck with our dog. We are older so staircase could be challenging but next time we go, we will sleep on their sofa bed downstairs. Eileen is very prompt in answering questions. Great place!!!

Wonderful little cabin!
We stayed at Elaine’s sweet cabin and had a wonderful time. We were there for 4th of July, and Tahoe was incredibly busy, so we spent much of our time relaxing at the cabin. It was cozy, and well furnished. It looked just as the pictures depicted. Cute little backyard area that was perfect for our pup. Nice view, awesome hot tub. Elaine was unbelievably responsive, answering questions within minutes if not seconds. It was very clean and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay again. It was perfect!

This property is lovely and the cabin design worked great for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Just a small comment on the stairs….. besides being steep, they are slippery…..maybe a carpet runner might help? Will definitely be back. Thanks for being a great host.

Such a cozy cabin!
We had an amazing weekend at Eileen’s cabin. It was well stocked, and so warm and cozy on a snowy May weekend. Such comfy beds, great yard for the dogs, and an awesome hot tub. Close to everything in Kings Beach! Thank you!!

Great Stay
My family and I had a great time at this cabin playing in the snow. We were lucky enough to get some good snow while we were there. It is a convenient location to Kings Beach, stores, restaurants, Lake Tahoe and also Northstar. Very responsive and accommodating host. Highly recommended.

Cozy house with great outdoor space in fantastic location
We had a great stay in this house! We loved that we could walk 10 minutes to King’s Beach and a bunch of other destinations - a small market, cafés, ice cream shops, mini golf, massage, etc. We didn’t use our car at all during our few days away. The house itself is cozy and super cute - great for a small family. The kitchen is small but very well equipped which we greatly appreciated. The outdoor space with dining table and hot tub is wonderful. When we weren’t at the beach, we were out in the yard. The only items we would caution others about are that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep which could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. In addition one of the rear yard fences is metal to maintain the lake view (shown in the images). Our small / skinny dog can easily walk between the pickets on this type of fence, so we kept him leashed in the yard. Overall we would definitely stay at this house again. It was the perfect setup for our few days away. We highly recommend!

Even better than expected!
We rented the peppery mainly for its outdoor space: nicely landscaped, suitable for dogs, hot tub for the kids with table very nearby for us to do puzzles, read, and enjoy the lake view. We arrived and this Tahoe oasis made my heart happy! On top of the outdoors, the kitchen was even more functional (VERY well stocked) and comfortable than expected, the living room was comfy and inviting for nighttime family movies, and the bedrooms were simple and comfortable (thank you for the very effective fans!) Moreover, the 5 minute walk to Kings beach was accented by the availabilty of the property's beach chairs and rolling cart. Though we try to stay somewhere new every time we visit Tahoe, this is our favorite so far and I'd love to return soon!

Quiet Getaway
This was the second visit at this location and we were just as pleased as the first year. Wonderful quiet location, pet friendly, kitchen has everything you need, comfortable beds, close walk to the beach/shops/dining. Love the outdoor areas for relaxing in the shade with a view of the lake. Hope to return again next year.

What a gem!
This is our second year here. Our only regret is we did not book for longer! We are so lucky to have found this place. Hot tub AND accepts pets. This cozy place is perfectly located. 100% walkability. And we have yet to use them, but there are mountain bikes and kayaks. Beds are super comfortable. We will be back. Owner is very responsive!

Great cabin with lovely views
We couldn’t have been happier with this little cabin. It was just perfect for two people and a dog. A couple with children would also be happy here. We were amazed at how well-stocked the kitchen was, including the pantry. We made pizza and I was worried because I forgot flour and lo and behold it was there! Also very clean. The little outdoor fenced in yard is pretty and has great views of the water. Walking distance to everything you need including restaurants and of course the lake. The cabin is only 15 minutes from Diamond Peak so we may return in the winter. We had a great visit :)

Terrific cabin at Kings Beach
My wife and I wanted a short vacation to Lake Tahoe during her school's spring break, and we chose this awesome little cabin. The cabin has a cute, rustic vibe going, but with all the modern conveniences (including a nice kitchen). We also enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub in the evenings. Kings Beach and local restaurants are within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy cabin in great location. Loved the feel of the "old cabin" but with modern updates. Kitchen had all we needed to cook meals (including basic spices, etc that are easy to forget to bring!) Easy and lovely walk to beach but view from home was wonderful too! Hot tub was awesome and relaxing. Thanks for a wonderful, quick vacation!

Wonderful family getaway at this cabin!
We enjoyed the cabin for our Thanksgiving holiday. Eileen was great with providing thorough check in and check out instructions (sent via email) and with answering my questions. The cabin was cozy for our family of 4 and our dog. The location was awesome, beautiful lake views from large windows in the cabin. The fireplace was amazing at warming the whole cabin and very user friendly. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The sofa bed in the living room was easy to use and pretty comfy. The hot tub on the deck in the backyard was great, awesome views. The cabin was clean and the fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog. Overall, a cozy cabin with great views in a beautiful location. *No washer/dryer but laundromat is just up the street and around corner (walking distance for us). We ate at the local burger spot, Char Pit, and the burgers were very tasty. Mountain Caps had delicious pizza and sandwiches. Bear Belly Brewing had a cute "backyard" for enjoying craft beers (no food served). The Central Market is close (walkable) but pricy. Behind their parking lot is a Mexican food window/market and the food was good. Eileen, thank you for sharing you cute cabin with us. Loved it!

Clean, comfortable and well stocked.
We stayed in Chipmunk Lodge with our two boys (ages 6 and 9) for the weekend and really enjoyed our time there. The hot tub is very nice and worked perfectly. We enjoyed watching the sunset while relaxing in it. Easy location to walk to the beach/shops/restaurants and in a quiet neighborhood. Fireplace kept us warm and cozy and the beds were comfortable. Tastefully decorated with nice little accent light touches inside and outside. We are hoping to come back during ski season!

Upstair bedrooms of cozy house
Loved the location and the ability to walk to the beach. The outside area was totally fenced in which was a plus for our dogs. But the outside furniture and deck were a bit dirty. Jacuzzi new but a bit too hot. The bedrooms and bathroom locations were a problem for us. The two nice bedrooms are on the second floor up narrow steep stairs with only bath down stairs on main floor. Not convenient. We didn’t know this. We ended up sleeping on sofa bed downstairs and never used bedrooms. Sofa bed was ok plus tv was downstairs which helped. A floor plan would have helped. Loved location and privacy.

Clean and comfortable
The cabin was clean and comfortable and well stocked with everything you need for a pleasant stay! Due to the smoke and covid restrictions we were not able to do many activities but the cabin is close to restaurants, stores and the beach. There is no A/C at the cabin and Tahoe was also experiencing a heat wave, but the cabin has overhead fans and we brought a small fan to put in the bedroom window. Will return again!

Great place!
We loved our little cabin! Even all the squeaking was charming! The view was amazing and we made good use of the hot tub. It’s a true home! The paper towel roll was nearly done when we arrived and there wasn’t an extra one so we had to buy our own but short of that, everything was great! Just a heads up: be careful, the hot water gets scalding hot very fast & many of the dishes are not microwave safe.

Great property, great location & great owners
My wife, our Jack Russell pup and I enjoyed a long 4 day weekend at Brockway Vista. The owners were great in communicating with us and the property is a delight. The back patio and deck was a huge hit with our Jack Russell. He loved laying out there in the early morning while we were drinking our coffee and loved it at the end of the day relaxing after our daily trips and activities. The property was everything promised and more! It was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful vacation cottage with nice outdoor areas
This home was just as photos portrayed. Dog friendly, indoor was very comfortable with lots of shady outdoor spaces. Great view of the lake and water activities. Close enough to walk to beach yet far enough away from all the beach crowds. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and cook outdoors on bbq The upstair bedrooms had ceiling fans and lots of windows to open which helped cool the rooms at night. Beds were very comfortable. Hated to leave and would definitely rent this home again.

Sweet homey cozy Tahoe home
Wow. I walked in and immediately felt at home. This 1947 home has been lovingly decorated and updated by someone who clearly adores this place. And her adoration is well placed. Situated at the corner this home has everything you want. One could stay here for a month and one would be perfectly comfortable. Very very very clean! The downstairs has the kitchen, bathroom and living room with a smart TV and an electric fireplace. All is perfect. The kitchen is so well stocked. One could make an entire Thanksgiving dinner here! Upstairs are the two bedrooms. Very comfortable beds. We aren’t very athletic so we did not use the kayaks nor the bicycles. But if one is so inclined, this little piece of heaven has all the toys. The backyard is another unbelievable spot. Hot tub AND deck AND lounge chairs AND an umbrella AND an electric (?) firepit AND genuine Candlestick stadium seats. Truly I cannot recommend this place enough. The views are of the Lake of course. It is not directly on the water but no matter. It is lovely and all the rooms have a lake view. It’s a very short walk to the beach or downtown Kings Beach. Safeway is not far. And you got parking. We stayed one week and we easily could have stayed another week (or month! Or year!). Just make your reservations now. We made reservations for the same time next year BEFORE we left. VRBO can be a chancy thing. Personally I’ve rented all really nice places and have never had a problem. This place, IMHO, stands out. It felt like home and I so appreciate the owner’s love of her house. It shines through and she makes you love the place. It can’t be helped. THANK YOU!
