It's a military base area...variety of shopping and eating within reasonable driving distance. Area seemed to be the lower end of town although we felt safe with homeless around.

I enjoyed Killeen. I was pleasantly surprised to find out there is more than just old run-down houses and more than 1 stop light in town. Basically, I'm glad there's more to it than I assumed there was.

"I really looked forward to going to our room at Best Western each evening because the beds and pillows are comfortable and the room is pleasant. I loved the large room which felt like a suite."
"Check in was great and I was greeted with a warm welcome. The room was clean and spacious. Only thing I would recommend are comforters instead of just sheets on the bed because the AC gets really cold at night. Other than that no complaints and I will be staying again for the reasonable price."
