"We have stayed at The Boat Inn at least 5 times now. We just keep coming back! A very professional set up and extremely comfortable. Staff so obviously want you to have a good time and will do all they can to ensure that you do. Rooms are very clean and beds so comfortable. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, though it would have been good to see more vegetarian options on the menu. Breakfast is excellent. Aboyne is a very good base for exploring Deeside, Speyside , Stonehaven and Donside and Aberdeen. "

We originally booked through Hotels.com, guided by the glowing reviews of previous travelers, but nothing could have prepared us for just how special this place is. The inn combines quirky Scottish character with thoughtful modern renovation. You can feel the depth of its history in every corner, and at the same time, you can feel the love and care in every single detail. The rooms are beautifully designed with rich, warm tones, the lounge invites you to relax with a nightcap or a good book, and the main dining room is a delight. The food was excellent, breakfast was delicious, and the manager made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. Although it feels tucked away, the location is actually very convenient for exploring nearby historical sites and charming towns. We would return in a heartbeat — and will absolutely be bringing friends and family with us next time. Highly, highly recommended!"

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location, nestled in its own tree filled garden, was relaxing and the hotel itself still retained the charm of the family home it was. We ate in the restaurant: the food was excellent, plenty of choice for two vegetarians like us, and the staff were very helpful. We also tried some cocktails which were also excellent. Our stay was relaxing, enjoyable and good value for money."
