About this property

*NEW* Anini Beach Mornings, Just 85 Steps from the Water TVNC 4255

  • Summary:

Anini is the kind of North Shore beach where an early towel run can become the whole morning. From this cottage, private beach access is 85 steps away, putting a quiet swim, reef viewing, or a sandy reset unusually close to home. The one-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home sleeps four and pairs a kitchen, wet bar, ceiling fans, and outdoor seating with rainforest and garden surroundings. Bring the kids' beach gear, use the Pack 'n Play, then return for a barbecue while the day winds down. Kilauea is handy for provisions, while Princeville and Hanalei make easy outings when you want a change of scene. Please note this vacation home is located in the tsunami evacuation zone. This is a lovely fit for a small family or couple who wants Anini Beach woven into each day.

    The Space:

This one-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath cottage sleeps four and is arranged for an easy, low-key beach stay. The kitchen and wet bar make snacks and simple meals straightforward, while ceiling fans, a separate sitting area, and doors to the outdoor spaces help the home feel connected to its rainforest setting. A private entrance, patio or balcony, and laundry add practical breathing room between beach outings.

    Guest Access:

Guests at this Anini Ohana Hale enjoy beach access just steps from Anini Beach in Kilauea, plus a garden view backyard and patio or balcony for outdoor relaxing. A private entrance with a lit path at night adds ease, and accessible features like a height bed and toilet support varied needs.

    The Neighborhood:

Anini sits on Kauai's North Shore, where the day starts quietly and the scenery does most of the talking. The nearby shoreline is the reason to stay here: beach access is 85 steps from the cottage, making it realistic to go back and forth without loading the car. Kilauea offers nearby basics, while Princeville has shops and dining and Hanalei is a worthwhile outing for its bay, town, and mountain backdrop. Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is another memorable North Shore stop for lighthouse and seabird views.

    Getting Around:

Lihue Airport is about 30 minutes away, a pretty drive along Kauai's north shore. A rental car is recommended to reach nearby beaches like Anini and Kalihiwai, as well as the shops and dining in town. Kilauea's small town center is walkable for coffee, food, and local goods, while groceries and more shopping are a short drive. Parking is usually available on site or curbside.

Please note this vacation home is located in the tsunami evacuation zone. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations. Registration: TVNC 4255. Great Location, comfortable house

Incredible location, and has the basics you need to be comfortable. Like other reviewers have mentioned it’s very damp inside and a little dated, but we were never uncomfortable and it reminded us that what we came to Kauai for was to be outside on the beach or exploring outside of the house. Perfect home if you’re looking for location, ease, and focusing on spending your time on the island. Check in was super easy, laundry was wonderful, and staying there with our baby was great. I would stay here again!

As Expected

Cozy Cottage to call home during our visit. The host provided plenty of linens and gear for a day on the beach. Plenty of kitchen gear. Comfortable and clean. Very happy. Can’t beat the location.

Feb 2025 Anini Ohana Hale

We are a family of four with young kiddos and this place worked great for our stay. We always had hot water in bath and showers, which was great. The house location near the beach is amazing and the beach is beautiful. The beds and pillows are comfy. We had access to washer and dryer. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. We also enjoyed watching the birds in the backyard and loved seeing the geckos around.

Cottage stay.

We got in late & were very tired The ease of getting into the cottage was very smooth. It is a charming cottage, but needs a couple home improvement issues addressed like the sliding door of the upstairs bedroom, one of the doors seemed to be off the hinge & the carpet downstairs has kind of an odor. I always travel with a diffuser, so no big deal. All in all, we had a lovely stay. Close to the beach, great location, quiet & peaceful. Would stay again. Thank you!

Convenient home close to the gorgeous Anini beach.

The location is very convenient and I found the snorkeling to be just as good directly in front of the house as anywhere else on the beach (tried over by the boat dock). The location in front of the house makes going down to the beach very easy any time you feel like it. And it is much less crowded than the public area which is priceless really. It is hot at night for the evening then cools off overnight. Even with all the vent windows open and the fans going. I am not someone who needs air conditioning and am not sensitive to heat but this house gets hot in the evening. The rental co brought out another fan which was nice and they were very accommodating and extremely nice. There are 3 portable fans here and you pretty much need one for each guest- blowing directly at them- at least at night in July. I have stayed in the larger house partnered with this one and it is not nearly as hot at night. Very convenient stay. Would stay again.

Great Location and Nice Amenities

We had a wonderful time staying at this house in Anini. The location could not have been more perfect with Anini beach access just across the (not busy) road; it was like having our own private beach most days. I went swimming with the turtles and fishes every morning, spent the afternoon reading on the beach, and we could easily get to and from Hanalei, Princetown, and Kilauea for lunch or dinner when we decided to go out. The various amenities of the house - beach chairs & towels, shower gel/shampoo/conditioner, laundry facilities, Apple TV for casting our shows at night, and a kitchen stocked with the basics we needed for a 5-day stay (as well as our favorite granola greeting us on arrival) - made our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. An unexpected surprise was the big beautiful backyard with its amazing trees and wildlife. Access on arrival was easy, the house was clean and cozy, and while we never quite figured out the downstairs shower (or were maybe just impatient trying to figure it out), one good hot shower upstairs was plenty for our needs. We could hear the neighbors when they were on their deck but it was nothing abnormal or obnoxious. We miss it already; we will absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful location, lacking property

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with this property. The pictures are quite deceiving as it makes the place look new, light and super clean but in actual fact every item and fixture in this house is way past it’s due date for replacement (apart from the tvs). The wooden privacy screens to the second bedroom did not work so someone had to sleep exposed since the living room has no shutters or curtains. I was sad and disappointed because I was expecting a cosy comfortable beautiful house. There is a reason why there are no pics of the bathrooms. The only plus was the location which is literally two minutes from the beach and it’s a beautiful relaxing beach (good for snorkeling as it’s entirely reefs) and Netflix and Wi-Fi working well. All that being said, I can say is that Vacasa did their best to help, they brought bug repellent due to the large amount of mosquitoes (and the house’s fly screens had gaps so they were inside). The brought a correctly sized bath plug because the bath plug that was there didn’t fit the bath. They offered to put up curtains etc. they really went above and beyond trying to help and that left a very good impression of Vacasa for me. I would book through them but I would not stay at this house again. Let’s just say if it was my actual home I’d be embarrassed to have guests over.

Fantastic location across street from Anini beach. Very private and secluded residential area. Stayed in the smaller back house which had a nice semi-private back garden area with lots of plants and chickens. The condition of the property was poor. Mold on ceiling is unacceptable. Furniture was stained and uncomfortable. Listing photos seem to be a mix from the front and back house which is misleading if staying in one. The property has great potential but needs some serious TLC.

Love the place, ideal location, very sweet and well-appointed. I gave a less-than-perfect overall rating because communication with the property management company was sub-par, days delayed and largely unresponsive. For the money, communication with the property management should be more responsive.

What a perfect location and semi private beach area. The house had everything we needed and more.

A private back garden area was perfect for relaxing and entertaining. The rooms are cozy and the rental was clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and will likely return very soon.

So close to the beach. Very short walk to a great beach. The house was well equipped unless you needed spoons. The second bedroom is a pretty limited space, but it works. Nice layout for privacy and the grounds are great.
