Location is great. Layout is good. Some changes are needed, though. Owners went cheap on not offering normal cable channels (USA, TBS, TNT, ESPN, or local channels). The AC is inadequate. House was still 76 at 9:30 at night. If you closed the door to the master bedroom, it was 5-7 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. During the day, temp hardly ever got below 76. Lowerst we set unit was at 71 one night to try and cool it off. Ceiling fans would help. Dishwasher may need replaced or repaired. Every time we ran it, we ended up having to re-wash several items. They just were not getting cleaned. I know it is an older house, but some of these things really should be addressed.
Clean, quiet, convenient, beautiful surroundings. 4 min from the beach, easy bike access to the "Nest." We had one little 9 lb dog who also enjoyed the house. I liked that the bedrooms were Master on the left side of the house and other 2 on the Right. There were plenty of bathrooms and lots of "private " areas. Would definitely rent it again.
The home was located in a beautiful location and was exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this property.

Kiawah Paradise
The house was great, just what we were expecting. The pictures depicted the space very well. It was roomy, comfortable and perfect for our family. The location was great - very close to the beach, and a short ride to the village (shopping, restaurants). We would definitely stay here again!
We had a lovely stay in this well decorated home. The kitchen was fully equipped for us to make lunch and dinner. Beautiful view and clean home. We also enjoyed the layout of this home, lots of bathrooms. Proximity to beach was terrific.
1st time staying at Surfscooter. Great property, clean, well maintained and a quick bike ride or walk to the beach. Property managers were great. Looking to book this property again in the future.
Great home, well appointed, clean, and so close to world class beaches, which we loved walking even on chillier days. Modern kitchen appliances made cooking a breeze and a great open layout allowed for fun game night and socialization. Thank you and look forward to returning!
Beautiful and clean with everything you need for your vacation! Closed porch makes it pleasant to enjoy the outdoors with views of the lagoon and golf course!
Wishing grill was bigger!
We will consider this property for future vacations!
Well equipped and nicely designed house for a family with several kids. Some apparent wear and tear though- especially broken tiles in main thoroughfare and stairway to front door. Location to beach is very walkable

Great location and nice little setup!
The location was not only a short walk from the beach but also the beach ramp it is near is a short one and not crowded at all! The house was well stocked with kitchen tools and the bedrooms were comfortable. We stayed here with four adults and one toddler and everyone slept great! We also loved the back porch overlooking the golf course. The view was beautiful!
-.We stayed twice and enjoyed the easy walk to the beach, watching golfers tee off, snd the wildlife in the pond. Home is very comfortable and kitchen is very well equipped. Owner REALLY Needs to upgrade cable.
It is a beautiful location and not far from the beach. There were 5 adults and one 18-month-old and we had plenty of room to spread out. We went out to the beach every day and played games every night after the baby went to bed. It was nice to catch up with our sons and spend spend time with our granddaughter. She absolutely loved it there!
Excellent propertie. Have all that you need to fell like you are home.
The pictures do not look as beatiful as it is.
Thank you VACASA for your support and care .

Kiawah Marathon
Rented this property to participate in the Kiawah Marathon. Location was great for this, walkable to start/finish and it is also a block from the beach and a short bike ride to Freshfields and various amenities. That is all I can say nice about this property; it is in desperate need of an update. The home smell musty, there was mold in places, random items in the draws, cupboards and closets,

Surfscooter Needs
Property really needs handrailing for steps into the house and for safety purposes it could use grab bars in master bathroom
The location is so convenient to the beach. The home had great amenities and we loved the screened in porch where we watched all of the wildlife and golfers tee off from the beautiful course.
I would recommend a few more towels and wash clothes - also think that the home could have been cleaner. The shower curtain needs replacing and the bath mats looked as if they had not been washed. The outside of the home could use alittle love as well. The home is lovely and it just needs some attention.
Overall however this is a beautiful street and I would stay again.

Great price and location for a nice family vacation home
We loved our stay here in Kiawah, a 7 minute walk to the beautiful beach. The backyard was golf course and swamp. I saw herons and a large alligator in the swamp during our 5 day stay.
The whole house is set up for family use and a little on the worn side in a pleasant way (eg, carpet a little stained and worn, fixtures and bathrooms also slightly worn and outdated) which is probably why the property is such a bargain. The master bedroom was very spacious for our family of four (two kids under two- large bedroom fit pack’n’plays with ease.
The kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes, cookware, and even with spices and we cooked most of our meals in.
We only needed one of the bedrooms but there were two more so if we had a larger party it still would have been comfortable to all stay here.
This was a great and comfortable rental and I would stay there again!

Great pet-friendly house but poor property mgmt
This is a cozy home with attractive interior furnishings and a beautiful backyard landscape that includes both a waterway and a golf course. There is ample natural light which makes it cheerful and the beds are comfortable. It is very close to a beach boardwalk and just minutes away from the shore. However, the property mgmt is very subpar and we experienced several problems including: (1) lock on sliding glass door was broken so we had to find an object to wedge in place to prevent it from sliding (days later discovered that a pipe for that purpose was shoved behind the TV), (2) blinds in master BR & guest bathroom did not extend fully and therefore prevented privacy, (3) nails on the edge of the guest bathroom linoleum were exposed and punctured my son's foot, (4) very poor cleaning job with a large wad of hair in the shower, scattered hairs in the bathtub, crumbs on the counters, and food residue on the pots/pans, (5) light over kitchen sink did not work, and (6) guest reminders were posted that instructed guests to put bikes in the racks so that they are not visible from the street, but when we called for the lock combination, we were told that the bikes were not for guest use. When I called to report these problems to the local office, the staff member did not offer any apology for the inconvenience or concern about safety issues. Her only response was to make sure that I was aware that their office would be closed on Christmas Day and confirm that the bikes were not for guest use.
We loved the quick and convenient walk to the beach and the west beach location near fresh fields. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and the layout of the home makes it private for families and guests. Multiple bathrooms are handy too. However it is tired. Bedrooms are carpeted and it just feels a bit grimey with sand etc. ceiling and walls have water damage and weak spots in the flooring make you think the same. Found a live tick in the bed and walls need fresh paint to cover handprints and schmutz. Lots of extra chairs. Too many. Would be better with another sofa or chaise in the living room. Seems overly cluttered with chairs and tables that will never be used. Kitchen faucet needs an upgrade to sprayer but the appliances are top notch and new. Gas grill works like a charm but a large black rat crawled out upon lighting taking the edge off dinner. Would really benefit from a large flat swifter-like mop to keep the floors clean daily. The bristle brooms were not effective. Bathroom vanities were very old and tired, but nice closet storage. Weirdly the master has 3 floor lamps and no bedside lamps on the nightstand adding to the aforementioned clutter everywhere. This place has an incredible screen porch overlooking the pond and tee box of cougar point. An overall update to bring this home into this decade will make it very desirable.
