The Sunset Beach Resort Koh Kho Khao

Takua Pa

10/10 Excellent

The Sunset Beach Resort, Takua Pa, is a very new and nice hotel right on the beachfront in a secluded part of the the Thai coastline, north of Khao Lak, on the island of Koh Kho Khao. It is a long taxi ride from Phuket airport and the taxi leaves you at the pier, where you catch a modified long-tail boat to cross the river to the island, where you are met by the resort taxi which takes you to the resort. This is a 2 hour trip so leave enough time to travel there after landing in Phuket. The...

Panvaree Resort

Ban Ta Khun

Allow 1 hour travel from airport. All foreigners pay 300 baht fee to enter lake.(not noted when booking). If you expect 5 star service do not stay here, It is a remote holiday destination with little to do but look at the majestic view and relax. The staff speak minimal english but make every effort to provide a great stay. The huts are good for multiple guests but we chose rooms above the restaurant. Steep stair entry but sensation view. I read some bad reviews about this resort, but i found...

Le Meridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa

Khao Lak

10/10 Excellent

Our second visit in 11 months. It was another incredible, excellent and wonderfully relaxing stay. The staff are the friendliest (shout out to YaYa and team at the Beach Grill, M and Waan at the pool bar - thanks for the 'M Special' drink and Kath at reception whose english is excellent). The food is excellent, drinks are very good, the pools are beautiful and the rooms are recently renovated and very comfortable. We are planning our next trip! The slightest downer is the 1.5hrs drive...

We loved this resort. Fabulous location right in the middle of the village. Walking distance to multiple restaurants, shops and bars. The restaurant and rooms and pool set back from the road in stunning tropical surroundings. Staff so friendly and welcoming and helped us with organising activities and taxis . Our room was compact but clean with great amenities such as hanging racks, complimentary snacks, coffee and tea facilities. A nice big bed and bunks for our son. Great aircon. Massage...

OUTRIGGER Khao Lak Beach Resort

Takua Pa

10/10 Excellent

We stayed at the Manathai for 10 days. We didn't realise that it was the wet season but it was great just the same. We went for rest and relaxation. The hotel is a bit away from everything but they do have a free shuttle bus running everyday to take you to town. We ended up hiring a motorbike and went sightseeing...we felt safe on the road. There are some amazing waterfalls around. All the staff where very pleasant and helpful. Ta at breakfast was extremely friendly and it was a pleasure talking...

Haadson Resort

Takua Pa

10/10 Excellent

I loved, loved my stay at haadson and will e back for sure. I was looking for a green peaceful place and found it. From my balcony I had a view to a lil palmtree forest, there were pinetrees and squirrels. It was soooo quiet and beautiful and right next to a lonely beach without the masses. Everyone was friendly and you felt more like a local then a tourist. Nearby restaurants at the beach and your own restaurant. Wifi everywhere for those who want to stay in contact. Shade and silence...
