"Overall the property was mediocre. When we got to the airport we called for transportation, as planned before hand, and there was no response, so we had to rent a driver from the airport. When we got there there was no welcome and the orientation wasn't well coordinated. We found out later by ourselves that they had a whole restaurant that was open to the guests ( we weren't told upon arrival). The rooms are in a beautiful historic house, are spacious, comfortable, very clean and stylish. What makes this place outstanding and wonderful is the host, Joyce who showered us with her hospitality, warmth, conversations, delicious breakfast, numerous tips/recommendations and a goodbye hug. "yes, just yes. i was there from Sept 7-15,it was my second trip to Jamaica. the first trip when i was looking for a place to stay i looked at the reviews and saw 1000+ for this place and had 8.2/10, the same rating 5 star hotels have, and it's easy to see why. it was amazing, so amazing, i didnt even look at other places for my second visit. and i know it's where im going to stay next time."

"This is a luxury property with a welcoming feel. Fantastic for families and kids of all ages. We stayed for 5 days with a groups of 7 adults 1 child. We wish we would have stayed longer. During our stay the hotel was not busy at all. We never waited in oune for food drinks or needed reservation for anything. We enjoyed the variety and quality of food and drinks. Our room was 6479 which is the top floor overlooking the beach facing the overwater bungalows. This is not an upgraded room but for a couple we had everything we needed. We absolutely love Doctors Cave Beach and the snorkeling is amazing. You can just walk out and see some amazing stuff. bring a snorkel and enjoy. We come here twice a year and definitely get our moneys worth ! "
