It sits on the shores of Derwentwater and is close to the lakes of Thirlmere and Bassenthwaite. Borrowdale Valley is nearby, boasting a variety of mountain walks, including Catbells, Coledale Horseshoe, Skiddaw and Blencathra – each varying in height and length, but all with magnificent views. Sitting just above Keswick is Castlerigg Stone Circle, an atmospheric location perfect for an early morning or evening walk. Or, for something more adrenaline-filled, head to Whinlatter Forest.
