This must rate as one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. The food is fabulous. An outdoor restaurant. Great seafood. The room was great. Clean and beautiful. I really liked it. The facilities are great. A beach and lovely swimming pools. I will go back for sure.

Lovely place for a couple of nights. Rooms lacking in comfortable chairs just to sit though.

Kijani is a beautiful hotel on the water’s edge in Shela Village, Lamu. Traditional Swahili architecture, simple rooms, verandahs with daybeds suspended from the roof from which you can also gaze at the stars at night; gracious staff and good food make for a perfect stay. Superb yoga classes are nearby at Banana House and Lamu town is a walk, boda ride or boat ride away. We loved this resort. The staff were really helpful and engaging. Our room was made up each day; and the food was excellent. We had the all-inclusive package and found the drinks offered under it to be totally acceptable - even though spirits were all locally made. We only wished we had booked longer!! We also found using Uber to be easy and reliable.

The rd to the hotel is very rough, otherwise is hood

Excellent hotel with friendly staff that go beyond call of duty to make sure everything about your stay is perfect. Victor, the food and beverages manager, was amazing and I would recommend the hotel above any in Watamu
