"Straight away, from the outside The Beach looked inviting and the location really was perfect. On checking in, the young lady at the desk was extremely helpful, cheerful and efficient. The room was light, airy and very clean with everything you need at hand. The shower was, without a doubt, the best hotel shower we had ever used, hot for as long as we needed it and fabulous pressure behind it. In the morning, after a restful sleep, we were directed to the dining area which had views out over the bay, and the staff simply couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was supplied to order and individual - not massed produced and was delicious. Overall, this is one of the best stop-over hotels we have ever used (and we've been in a few, let me tell you) and would definitely recommend The Beach to any and all visitors to Bude. The in-house spooky tour in the basement was ok , but make what you want of it, probably not the best value for money but still fun/ interesting. "
