Best Kemenuh Historic Hotels

The Kayon Resort
4.5 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (294)
"I originally booked this place since it’s close to the airport for the last part of our stay. It’s very loud with the entertainment at night. The towels smell like mildew. The service is nothing like Ubud village. The positive about this place is all the restaurants on the Main Street and massage places. They are so much inexpensive compared to the hotels. They do have an amazing gym. "

"We booked a few nights here for our honeymoon. The location, the resort, and the staff made us feel like we were in paradise, entrenched in a forest setting. We were surprised by a lovely cake and decorations for our room for our honeymoon. The staff are super friendly and tentative. The entire staff work together to make sure we get the best service. Sadewa was very friendly and attend to our every needs during breakfast. He has support from, Sutrisna, Diaksa, and Dewi when he’s busy with other...

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (23)
"I strongly recommend this place to people who love nature and need peaceful vacations. The hotel is located in a little village on top of Ubud (ca 10-15 min by car). It is a beautiful place to observe animals (monkeys, fireflies, lots of birds, squires etc.). The villa has a private swimming pool. Employees are the sweetest people and very service minded! Food is delicious. "

Tanah Merah Art Resort
3.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (136)
"Unfortunately this hotel has seen better days? I had a pool villa that was good, but seen better days? The restaurant (only 1 operating now) was basic. The hotel is a long way from Ubud on a very small and narrow road and did not have a shuttle service to Ubud - thus there are additional charges? However the highlight was the wonderful Art and antique collection the owner Peter has. "

"The staff are great and made the stay all the more enjoyable. A special mention goes out to Riska (GRO) who was most helpful with ensuring that our stay was comfortable and Kadek Joe who really gave us good insights into Balinese culture and was a wonderful help when we needed to check-out late at night. Being surrounded by the beautiful and lush forest was special if you dont mind being close to nature with the many sounds that comes with it. Overall it was a nice and pleasant stay and we were...
