Oceanfront Aloha House with Private hot tub, dolphins, whales, turtles, FUN!
3BR 2BA Home sleeps maximum of 7, OCEANFRONT HOT TUB! VIEWS!!

The Aloha House is a spectacular oceanfront property where you will experience breathtaking sunrises, cascading rainbows, dolphin & whale watching all from the comfort of your Hawaiian hale. The property is located just 30 minutes south of Hilo in a private community, Hawaiian Paradise Park, on one of the loveliest bays in East Hawaii where you can walk for miles and see nothing but pristine coastline and lush forest. This quiet and serene property has everything including a length of the house oceanfront  covered and tiled lanai. Furnished island style with rattan and wicker, ceiling fans, color TV and washer/dryer. And an oceanfront 5-person SPA right on the back patio! for your pleasure!! Aloha House is a great spot to set up base to discover the beauty of the East side of the Big Island. It is just a short drive to Volcano National Park, Lava Tree State Park, Hilo, botanical gardens, zoo & many of the island's best black sand beaches! Perfect for a couple or family. The home has have many repeat guests who love being so close to the ocean! Paradise calls!

The Aloha House: The oceanfront Aloha House property sits spectacularly oceanfront on the pristine Puna Coast in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision just south of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home offers the vacationer an up close and personal ocean experience! You can't get much closer to the ocean without being in it! It lulls you to sleep at night and the sunrises are so incredibly awesome - you will want to get up early even if you are on vacation! In the winter months, you can hear and see the whales that come in quite close because the ocean is deep in front of the property. This is a great spot to catch fish from the bluff and cook right on the barbecue!

Decorated island style with rattan furnishings and overhead ceiling fans in all the rooms, the home stays very comfortable all year! Sometimes you might even need a sweatshirt in the winter months! This home is centrally located and it is just a short drive to Hilo area with many restaurants, shops, markets, large grocery and retail stores and Hilo International Airport. The location is superb for the traveler wanting to experience the ultimate Big Island adventure. The oceanfront lanai is the place you will probably want to hang out after your day trips!

The kitchen is fully equipped with all your dining needs. All linens are provided, along with laundry detergent (you won't have time for that though!) There is also an outdoor hot shower to rinse off after surfing, swimming, snorkeling, or hiking the volcano. We provide a cooler for your day outings too! There is also fishing and bbq equipment.

The cottage on the property is currently reserved for the owners.

The house is completely private. There is no part of the home or facilities shared except for the laundry room. As owners, when on island, we respect the privacy of our guests wholeheartedly and want our guests to feel totally free to be themselves. In fact we and our guests usually don't see much of each other due to everyone's busy schedules. Occasionally guests will invite us for some wine or just knock on the door to say hi and we love that, but never initiate conversation or bend the ears of our guests. It's your vacation! :)

Activities:: From the oceanfront lanai you can sun bathe, dine and watch the sea turtles, dolphins and whales frolic. Explore the coastline tide pools or fish off the bluff. A short distance from black sand beaches, hot ponds, waterfalls, golf, kayaking, Volcano National Park, shops and restaurants. Swimming, surfing, diving, fishing, snorkeling, or drive through the middle of the island on Saddle Rd to get to the west side of the island for some gorgeous white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters! Shopping, banking, medical facilities, restaurants, etc. in nearby quaint Pahoa Town as well as Hilo. Have the best of both worlds: peace and serenity combined with as much activity as you feel like! Olympic size swimming pool in Pahoa (free!), fine restaurants in Hilo, Pahoa, & Keaau! Be sure to catch the Maku'u farmers market on Sunday mornings, or the Hilo farmer's market every day but biggest day for it is on Saturday!  Uncle Robert's' In Kalapana is a fun way to have dinner and experience the locals having a blast listening to music and shopping on Wednesday evenings. There is a full bar and many desserts too! It is located at the end of the 'Red Road,' Highway 137 in Kalapana. We find it's better than a luau with wonderful Hawaiian musicians, arts, crafts, many local food vendors. This is a must on your list of things to do in East

On the Precipice of the Pacific
The location is simply fabulous. You walk out the back patio on grass and then black volcanic rock to the edge of the ocean surf. From the house, we delighted in exploring the network of roads and trails in the Pahoa district south of Hilo. Not to be missed is Uncle Robert's community music and food festival every Wednesday evening. In Hilo, the Pacific Tsunami Museum and the Lyman Museum are outstanding as well as the Hawaiian Tropical and Botanical Gardens, Akaka Falls and the Waipio Valley Lookout north of Hilo. We were welcomed home each night by the melodies of coqui frogs and fell asleep to the sound of rumbling waves.

Dolphin Bay Bliss
Dolphin Bay is in a beautiful location, we watched whales, dolphins and turtles from the lanai and hot tub. The house is well used and could use some maintenance, but everything worked. Shari mentioned that they will be re-doing the lanai soon. The kitchen is well supplied with utensils and all sorts of useful gadgets. Shari was very quick to respond and very friendly. We loved our stay and will certainly come back.

Wonderful Thanksgiving stay with family
What’s there not to like about this beautiful place! Shari was very responsive to inquiries. Check in was easy. The house was absolutely lovely and CLEAN! We usually stay in hotels when we travel but wanted our own space for this short trip to spend Thanksgiving with our small family of 4. We were worried about the cleanliness, but as soon as we entered the home, we were reassured as everything was so clean - the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook a delicious Thanksgiving meal and breakfast for all 3 days. Nothing beats the view here with the ocean literally right next to you. The sounds of the waves hitting the lava cliffs were so soothing. The jacuzzi was such a treat, and we enjoyed it everyday. We saw so many turtles while sitting in the patio eating our breakfast. www had planned to do some activities in Hilo and Volcano but ended up canceling some plans just to be with each other in the home. Thank you Shari and Rob for sharing your beautiful and well-kept home with us. We look forward to returning one day soon. What a magical place!!

Peaceful paradise
Great location! Too short of a stay, wish we could have been able to plan a longer trip. Went to Hilo for my sons paddle race, his team placed 7th in the state! Can’t wait to come back.

Incredible View!
On a sunny day, the crashing waves along the lava shelf/cliff coast is absolutely gorgeous! The sunrise and sea turtles added to the beauty. The house is a bit worn by it’s location to the sea, but it’s clean. Gas, a general store and a great new restaurant (Kaleo’s Bar and Grill) are 10 minutes away on Orchid Land Drive. Bring drinking water because the house uses a water catch system (host recommendation). Enjoy your stay!

Paradise indeed
This was a lovely home base for exploring the east side of the Big Island. Most activities we did were an easy 30-40 minute drive away. It was lovely to have such a gem of place to call home for 5 nights. Sunrise over the ocean, the sound and sights of crashing surf on the rocks, a hot tub soak at the end (or start!) of the day, plenty of space to spread out, a well-stocked kitchen, all with an unparalleled view. Yes, paradise indeed!

Beautiful views
The house was fine. It appeared the house is going through a much needed renovation, but it did not interfere with a great vacation. The views of the ocean and splashing water on the cliffs were fabulous!

No privacy
Prior to check in the hostess did not inform us of our check in procedures prior to the 4pm check in time, leaving us outside of the house in the rain. We had no instructions until I made multiple calls after 5pm, in which the hostess finally returned our call. The unit felt unsafe and dirty. You could see right into the bedroom and bathrooms windows. The outdoor blinds provided in the bedrooms were transparent and provided no privacy for changing. I had to shower and put my clothes on with the bathroom lights off in the dark to ensure the neighbors would not see me. The bedroom doors are louvered closet doors, that you could see in and hear everything through. The guest tub and shower is outdated and dirty. The shower head and faucet were rusty and curroded. The shower curtain was moldy and the towels felt unclean. The floors were dirty, we needed to purchase slippers to walk anround the house, and there were many broken fixtures (master closet door, etc).

Amazing views!
This place is all about the location. The views are better than I expected. We loved the privacy, and being able to sit outside to eat and watch the waves crash into the rocks. The only downside was that the house was musty smelling inside and felt damp, especially the master beadroom.
