"The traditional Japanese hotel is so spacious that it surprises us the minute we walked in. It has a full living area, a bedroom and a long patio that provides excellent view to the back yard. It has a private indoor hot spring tub and a private outdoor onsen. The back yard lead to hotel garden area which has all kinds of beautiful flowers and plan. Mountain is just next to the backyard. The ambience was excellent. A simple traditional Japanese breakfast was provided for free a request."

"What a decadent experience in low-key, authentic Japanese style. Not a detail was spared in the gorgeous historic building and lush forest grounds. The several course meals were outstanding, served in our private dining room and the staff was beyond helpful and gracious. The multiple onsens on property were beautiful and healing, you can even reserve one for an hour of private use. "チェックイン30分前に到着しましたが、スタッフの方に直ぐに対応していただきました。部屋は、源泉掛流し内風呂と源泉足湯テラスつきの部屋に宿泊しました。庭もきれいで、今年は幸いにも河津桜の開花が遅れており、ちょうど満開の時期に宿泊できました。 男性大浴湯は、内風呂と２つの露天風呂があり、それぞれお湯の温度が変えてあり、湯守の方の配慮だと感じました。貸切り露天風呂では、川のせせらぎも聞こえてのんびりできました。 食事は食堂個室で、おいしくいただき満足しました。料理のメインにはステーキを選択しました。ドリンクメニューで地酒飲み比べセットがありましたが、地酒で大吟醸飲み比べセットがあれば尚良かったです。 部屋の寝室ベッドはゆったりくつろげました。廊下に置かれている３種類のアロマエキスを利用できました。 お庭の散策時、一番奥の川沿いには、ホテルにより建立された温泉神社があり、温泉に対する真摯な配慮を感じました。 スタッフの方は皆様明るく丁寧に対応いただき、サービスにも満足しました。"

"The property is a delight. The manager, speaks excellent English, and his wife were both so friendly and helpful. The property is in a quiet location near beautiful Sotorua Beach. It is so calm and relaxing. Shimoda is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 30 minute work. There is only one restaurant within easy walking distance and it is excellent. Suggest upgrading to a room with a private outdoor bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay."
