Great staff and location!
Great location. Located on a dead end street (no thru traffic noise, etc.) Absolutely the nicest and most helpful staff you'll find. A breakfast buffet was included in our three night stay and it was delicious every time. The hotel has two main buildings. The right as facing side has an enormous building being built on the rear/east side. Our room window faced the new building which blocked the view. It was not an issue for us as we only slept in the room and did not stay there for the view. Something to consider though if you must have a view. The hotel does not have an elevator if you need one. We were on the top floor with 4 very heavy (23 kg each) bags. The staff was more than helpful and assisted with the bags upon our arrival and departure. The hotel also had a vehicle you can use to take to the airport. Maybe a bit more expensive (1000 rupees 9:30 at night) than you could find yourself but definitely worth the convenience and knowing it was a hotel staff member versus a complete stranger driving us to the airport at night. I have travelled to/from Nepal multiple times over the years and this hotel will be at the top of my list when I plan to return next year. Thank you again to the staff and take care.

We had a great stay at this hotel! They were incredibly accommodating, making sure that all of our needs were addressed. Everything was very clean and the showers were nice and hot! Breakfast was delicious, and they even packed us a breakfast when we had an early departure one morning. Location is very conveniently located. An incredibly good stay overall!

Short stay in Kathmandu
Very clean hotel. Staff were very friendly and Meghnath was very helpful in organizing hikes and taxis. Breakfast was good. The hotel is off the main the road so it is away from all the busy traffic yet close to the shopping area. Only thing was the double room was a bit cramped.

Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of shops. Staff are very polite and helpful and the Manager Mr Megnath is excellent and looked after us well. Buffet Breakfast is very good with different varieties every day.

Nice property right outside of Thamel. It's usually very quiet, but there was some construction going on next door that made it a little noisy. The property is well kept and the staff and management are excellent....

Most of stuff is very nice and friendly. However Owner and reception's stuff is terrible. Onr of Reception is very The owner suggested us the guide tour or arrange taxi to airport. However everyday change price and if we try to negotiate, he was not seems happy. Also he ignore us on Perpose when we left the hotel.

I have stayed at many hotels in Kathmandu over the years and this one is the best. It's quiet, clean, and well kept. It is just outside of Thamel so it's extremely quiet unlike most other Thamel hotels. The staff is extremely helpful. They have a great restaurant on site. From now on, I will never stay anyplace else when I go to Kathmandu. I highly recommend the Aryatara..........

The location it’s nice and the room also but I would just like to point out about the rudeness of the manager Busu who wanted to give us a room smaller than the one I booked , really unfriendly for those who have made a trip of 15 hours but in general the hotel is really good recommend .

Outstanding hotel in Kathmandu
The hotel is located in the best place of Kathmandu which is very near the tourist area. The staff are extremely helpful, and the rooms are nice with air conditioning. The breakfast and dinner in the hotel are of top quality. They also provide free airport pickup service to the guests. Overall speaking, I believe this hotel is one of the best in Kathmandu.

Nice hotel. Centrally located.
I had a very good experience here. The rooms were clean, the water was hot, and the WiFi was fast. The hotel staff were also exceptional. This hotel is definitely on par with U.S. standards.

Well located hotel.
Simple, convenient hotel located outside Thamel. Easy walk to the Garden of Dreams and the hustle and bustle of Thamel shops and vendors. Along the way there were coffee shops and restaurants for hungry, weary travelers.

Great staff clean rooms and a great price
Me coworker and I came to Kathmandu a few days earlier than we planned and by chance picked this little gem of a hotel. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are clean. The location also couldn't be better. We went to the much more expensive hotel that we had originally planned for and we both wanted to go back to Aryatara then next day, but we had prepaid with no refunds so we couldn't. My wife and I went back at the end of our trip and had another great experience. Some rooms have been renovated, I had room 504 and 401. 401 was really nice and 504 was just standard.

Amazing hospitality from hotel staff including Sanjit Khanal and Baburam. They really wanted to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed! The location is so perfect. It's on a quiet street but close to nice restaurants and shops. I had an excellent stay at this hotel. Thank you very much and I hope to see you all again.

Very good mid-range hotel in the busiest touristic area of Kathmandu where most of the hotels and hostels are of lower range. Comfortable and clean with a very good buffet breakfast included.

Good hotel in an convenient location. There is building work taking place nearby which starts at 7.30am, but saying that it maybe difficult to find somewhere without building work going on! Helpful staff although one manager was a bit pushy for hikes trips etc. The breakfast was varied and plentiful (great banana porridge) and the waiters are very friendly. Our beds were really comfortable and good bed linen. If you need some respite from the chaos of Kathmandu then take a book/picnic and visit The Dream Garden, a short stroll from the hotel. Wonderful place, there is a cafe there but we didn't look at the prices. We went late one afternoon, I wish we had given ourselves longer!

The staff at this hotel really want you to enjoy your stay. Everyone from the man who collected us from the airport to the receptionist who noticed details and cared about making our stay pleasant went beyond the call of duty. The location is up a small street behind the garden of dreams which is a sweet little park enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. An equal distance in the other direction brings you to the shopping streets of Thamal. The manager will also arrange for tours for you at rates that are comparable with other places but it is all much more convenient and less hassle.

Just perfect
We were really impressed with everything at Aryatara. The day after making our booking we received a welcome email from the manager and that set the tone for our stay. Our check in was quick, friendly and efficient. We were on the first floor overlooking the courtyard and entry in a cosy double room with a huge wet room. The shower was fantastic with hot water available almost all the time (there was a problem with the hot water system on our last day, but that was rectified promptly). The bed was the most comfortable we had in our four months in Nepal and our room was spotlessly clean, as were all the public areas. Breakfast is served buffet style, with a wide range of options. The waitstaff were all friendly & helpful, as were all staff. The location is good - at the end of a quiet lane near the Garden of Dreams, and several cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. All in all, a great hotel, away from the noise & traffic but convenient for Thamel shopping & dining. Highly recommended.

Clean new hotel with excellent staff. The breakfast is simple but plentiful. Good value for money. The location down o rough road is a little off putting but don't let this stop you.
