Aina Malia, a unique property, is situated above beautiful Wailea Bay on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, one of the few white sand beaches on the island of Hawaii. Beautiful tropical landscaping abounds with privacy and romance. Custom designed home is perfect for family and friends. It features hand painted and hand designed tiles that bring the tropics of the outdoors to the inside. The ocean view kitchen boasts hand-painted tiles of underwater sea life. For your dining pleasure there is an outdoor patio/lanai with an outdoor dining table under the trees just off the kitchen. The kitchen has large pocket windows that open up as a pass through to the outdoor dining area. There is no indoor dining table just the lovely outdoor area. This is a 2 bedroom home that can accommodate up to 5 persons with 4 garden showers. Private, upstairs, screened gazebo that looks over the gardens and gorgeous Wailea Bay! Bask in the sun at the beach or lay in the hammocks and gaze at dolphins, whales, turtles and all the tropical birds that live in the area.
Designed for outdoor living and relaxation. Each bedroom has it's own sense of privacy and separate bath with private outdoor garden shower. Two hammocks swing between the palm trees to enjoy the views of the bay and water activities from complete serene privacy. The home itself is a piece of art work. Custom designed hand painted tiles create Hawaiian scenes from sandy beaches to tropical flowers. The tropical gardens offer beautiful settings for reading, relaxing and sun bathing. Fairly easy access into sandy bottom ocean for swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, surfing and other ocean activities. The Bay is peaceful and is a great place to swim, snorkel and paddle board.

Property 5 stars! We loved our stay. It was the perfect home for our family. We loved being able to walk to the beach every day.
Guest Access: Guests will have full use and access to home and grounds. No shared spaces.
The Neighborhood: Do & See: 1. **Beaches**: Visit **Hāpuna Beach**, one of the largest white sand beaches on the island, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. **Pololū Valley Lookout** offers breathtaking views and access to a black sand beach if you're up for a hike.
2. **Historical Sites**: Check out the **Puʻukoholā Heiau National Historic Site**, an ancient Hawaiian temple with significant cultural importance. Another nearby site is the **Lapakahi State Historical Park**, where you can explore the remnants of a traditional Hawaiian fishing village.
3. **Outdoor Adventures**: For adrenaline seekers, there's **ziplining** through lush rainforests with Kohala Zipline, or even **skydiving** over the stunning Kohala Coast. If you prefer something more relaxed, horseback riding tours in the Kohala mountains are also available.
4. **Whale Watching**: From December to March, this area is prime for whale watching, with several lookout points along Highway 270, such as Puukohola Heiau and Kapaʻa Beach Park.

NOISE Please keep in mind that Guest is in a very small and peaceful residential neighborhood. Noise carries over quiet landscapes and near water. IBR asks that Guest and Guest’s children respect Property neighbors' privacy, peace and quiet. Guests are asked to adhere to the “Good Neighbor Policy” as follows: quiet hours shall be from 9:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. during which time the noise from the short term vacation rental shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the Property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
NON-SMOKING RENTAL This is a non-smoking rental. No smoking is allowed inside any of the buildings on the Property. No cigarette butts in gravel or yard.
PLEASE KEEP SCREENS AND DOORS TIGHTLY CLOSED TO PREVENT PESTS FROM ENTERING THE HOME.
SUPPLIES As part of our commitment to ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable stay for our guest, we provide a complimentary set of initial supplies (paper goods and soaps) upon your arrival. These supplies are intended to help you get started and make your transition into our accommodation as smooth as possible. After your initial supply is depleted, it is your responsibility to replenish any additional supplies needed for the duration of your stay.
TRAFFIC Please DRIVE SLOWLY in our neighborhoods. The speed limits are 10 mph to 25 mph and there are many children and adult pedestrians and bicyclists.
USE OF PROPERTY Guest may use the home only as a place of vacation. Guest may not use it for commercial purposes, for any unlawful, improper, offensive purpose or illegal activity. Please refer to Guest Book upon arrival for details and instructions concerning use of pool, spa, and/or air conditioning if these amenities are available at the rented Property.
NO PETS OR ANIMALS ALLOWED
NEIGHBORHOOD CONSTRUCTION IBR is not responsible for any construction noise or inconvenience that may occur during Guest stay. No refunds will be given. Although IBR cannot guarantee full knowledge of any planned or current construction occurring, Guest may contact IBR (90) days prior to Guest arrival to inquire if IBR is aware of construction adjacent to the Property occurring and Guest may choose to cancel at that time IF there is construction occurring that may affect the Property UNLESS Guest has already been made aware of construction during time of or shortly after Guest booking was made.
