Good location interesting views

Worked out good for us. Location is convenient and had the things we needed. The cental air wasnt working not working but they had a window unit for the bedroom. The bed was a uneven and a bit weird but slept well. Would come back again.

We had a great stay! We went for our one year anniversary, they left us a post card with a painting from a local painting as a gift. Was very thoughtful. The condo was clean. We where very pleased with our stay. The view from the balcony was amazing! Would def come back and stay again!

Beautiful view

We love the location and view. Would return for that. Hope the there would be a new bed and reliable internet ( most units share the same drop). Cleaning of AC vents also recommended, it might help with the musty smell.

View Amazing

The views were amazing and the condo has everything and more that i needed. The bed was the best sleep with the sound of the waves. Property team was incredilbly responsive with any request I had. I will be back.

great location

Great location. Nicely decorated. Useful supplies in kitchen. Other must feel the same because seems like somethings left by others. Which is a compliment. Clean. Love the sound of the waves. Comfortable bed. Will likely stay here again if available.

Another excellent stay

This was my third stay at the complex, second time in #408. Though I never needed to engage with the staff, they were very friendly and nice whenever encountered on the property. The unit was as good as ever. I especially appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella! I'll be back!

Couple improvements

I think I had seen this on other reviews, there was a musty smell, that tended to go away for the most part after turning on all fans. Also, had seen on other reviews, the bed matress is really not comfortable very little support would invest in a new one. Also, pool noted as heated, but we tried once and pretty cold. I think the location, views, size of property great for 2 people.

Great unit!

This is a nicely updated condo in a fantastic location. Complex is easy walk to many restaurants and shopping venues. The unit itself is close to the elevator and laundry room, but totally isolated in regards to noise. Also noteworthy is the parking space which is generous in size, and easy to access. On site staff were very friendly. I didn't want to leave, and hope to return in the near future.

We loved the Hale Kona Kai room #408

Hale Kona Kai #408 was a great place to stay for us. We loved the view from the room, loved the closeness to town, it was super clean and it had everything we needed to cook when we wanted to cook or just relax when we wanted to relax. There was a small problem with the garbage disposal one night but once I reported it the issue was resolved immediately.

Location is wonderful, bed not so much! Lumpy and very uncomfortable. Forget trying the hide-a-bed. Furniture in need of good cleaning and refresh.

Wonderful Hidden Gem

This was our second visit to the Hale Kona Kai. These units are a hidden gem! Close enough to walk to everything in town yet off the main road to avoid the noise. All you hear is the soothing sounds of the waves. Our first stay was in unit 309, this time was in unit 408. Both units were clean and well stocked. Management is very easy to work with. We will definitely be returning to this facility.

We liked the condo very much, many hours on the balcony ,,breakfast lunch and dinner.sunsets were at the end of the hall and full ocean front view.f ound very few guests around pool...water needed more sun to warm it up. small bbq ,quicker for small one steak.burgs ??will you advise re damage deposit refund...thank you g/s lang

Excellent - next visit to the big island of Hawaii, we will definitely stay at Hale Kona Kai, and especially condo #408, if available. Clean, well stocked with dishes, silverware, and other household necessities. The lanai overlooking the pool and ocean is good for turtle/eel watching, morning coffee/breakfast, and seeing/hearing the Pacific lashing the sea wall. The condos are conveniently located close to Ali'i Drive's shops, restaurants, markets, and entertainment. Directions for getting to Hale Kona Kai and using the lock-box for condo access are clearly explained. The pool area and community grill, which we used several times, are clean and well kept.

adeline...as per notes from guests,we left some comments. accomodations were excellent.and enjoyed our visit.we had to go down hall to see a complete ocean view and a sunset as we were around the corner.but really ok. cud ask for sun to warm the pool more as shirly was cold init..also a smaller quicker bbq wud be good for our one steak or 2 burgs...could not get it to work/ several trys with instruc and then it was out gas at the end.just suggest it.mahalo

“Sens”ational on the water Paradise

From the start this has been truly amazing. Ease with check in, information about area, accommodating requests….all were handled smoothly and seamlessly thanks to Ryan and his team. Now to the lively unit….we entered a lovely fresh condo filled with little touches to welcome us which was very much appreciated. The location was spectacular and hit the mark perfectly for our three week adventures on the beautiful island….and in the evening it was great to return to the best seat for dinner- the lanai with beautiful sunsets followed by an extremely comfortable bed with lovely linens to dream about the next day in paradise. This unit embraced and allow all of our senses to be touched and comforted. Magnificent sunsets to view, the sound and smells of the island in our patio, and the comfort of an amazing bed and lovely shower to end the day. Thank you do much for sharing your home and we hope to see you again. Mahalo

Beautiful views, awesome ocean sounds, not so great condo

As we entered the condo the first thing we noticed was a musty odor so went to the local Walmart for some Febreze. The Febreze helped. The microwave had rust on the inside so it was a little worrisome to use. The stove also had rust here and there. We also encountered some bugs in the kitchen and the bathroom area. We contacted the management about the bugs, they did get us some bug traps. The hot water went out, management had it back the next day. The location of the condo was great, the views and the sounds of the ocean were awesome.
