NOTE - the Kona Reef complex will be in construction maintenance January, 2026 through June, 2026. The D building will have spalling work completed 4/16 though 5/12. You will not be able to use the lanai Monday through Friday during this time. The pool will be open during maintenance but there could be some construction noise.

Kona Reef is one of the most ideal resort destinations on the Kona Coast. Walking distance to town (less than a mile through downtown to the IronMan pier!). Experience restaurants, shopping, ocean sports, killer ocean views of all the Kona activities right at your front ocean door. Did I mention Honl's Beach, one of the best white sandy beaches found on the Kona Coast right in front of the Reef?

The condo has been completely remodeled - Jan, 2018 - tiled baths with glass-enclosed showers, all tile floors throughout. Feb, 2021 - new kitchen cabinets, new mattresses, new AC unit, new lanai table. March, 2022 - completely painted, new lanai chairs, new linens, new coffee maker, assorted new pillows, new electronic locks, new dining room furniture (4/22), new living room furniture (7/22)! March, 2023 - new dishwasher, range, ac unit and ceiling fans.

It is one of four of the largest in the complex, sleeping 5 in beds - a king in one room and a queen and twin in the other. This is a corner unit which affords extra light - and exposure and views of open ocean and Kona town from everywhere. Don’t pass this one up! 'Book it Dano' '!

Nice Ocean Front Condo

The condo has been nicely updated and you can open the the doors to the Lanai and listen to the waves crashing on the beach. The condo was clean and had all pots and pans and utensils and items required. A very convenient location as well.

Kona paradise

The condo was so lovely! The views from the lanai were spectacular from sunrise to sunset. We appreciated the well appointed kitchen and the grill area by the pool. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy the beautiful beaches in the area. It was a great place to stay.

This was a perfect condo for my family. With 2 teens, having the 3 beds was great! This condo has everything you need plus it has the best view of the Hawaiian sunset!

Loved this Ocean front condo!

Girls trip to Kona was fantastic. This condo was great. We loved watching the sunset on the patio. It’s close to several great restaurants and a nice beach. I would rent this condo again.

Perfect Girls Trip!

This was the best location, so easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. I've stayed in Kona frequently but never so close to town. The lanai and view right on the ocean were perfect every morning. Everything was well stocked, beach toys, kitchen utensils, etc.

Location, location, location

If you are going to the kona area this is a very convenient location. The sunsets were spectacular from the lanai. Plus all of the snorkels, chairs , and other beach gear being in the condo made things really easy. Sandy answered all questions in a very timely manner. All around great stay

Friend Reunion

We so enjoyed our stay! It was very clean and the check in process was very easy. The condo had everything needed for a great stay. The view was amazing and beautiful- we sat on the patio every evening to watch the sunset. Many restaurants and coffee shops were within walking distance. It was a great time and we really could not ask for more!

Family vacation

Perfect location and view and close walking distance to restaurants. Only down fall was the roaches in the kitchen and in the cabinets, which made it hard to have anything left on the counters are the cabinets. Sandy had exterminators come when we left so hopefully it’s better for the next families.

First time on the Big Island

Condo was great, amazing views, great location. Sandy beach next to the building, big clean pool. The condo was very well stocked and the AC in the living room can cool down the entire unit, but not needed with the breeze from the ocean. 5 stars

2023 Family Vacation

Beautiful! The lanai is a great place to drink coffee and watch the surfers in the morning! Close enough to walk to the restaurants in Kona which is a plus because parking is terrible. Condo was clean and looked just like the pictures.

Perfect, Roomy Oceanfront Getaway!

This condo met our needs perfectly. It is obvious that the owner has focused on upgrades and keeping this unit in top condition. Superb oceanfront views, airy and open, excellent furnishing, new appliances, comfortable bed and all amenities needed to enjoy time in Hawaii. This is one of the best in the facility and we both said we would definitely come back to this unit again.

Great Place in Kona

Nice condo and close to shopping in Kona. Property was clean and well stocked with kitchen/bathroom supplies and also beach supplies. Having a washer/dryer in property also important for us. Plenty of parking. We didn't use the pool/hot tub much. I have 3 boys ranging from 8-15 and afraid they would have been a disruptive to the others as that area seemed to be more adults and less kids. So we spent most of our time on beaches and exploring the island. Unit does have a wall A/C unit which was nice to take some of the humidity out. Had a great time on the big island and we were sad to leave.

Perfect Location with a Remarkable View

Our family visited the Big Island to connect for the first time with my husband's deceased mother's native Hawaiian family and culture.It was a very moving and emotional trip to say the least! And Sandy's condo was a wonderful place for us to call home for the week. We loved sitting on the balcony at sunrise every day taking in the serene activities of the ocean and coastline just steps away. We also loved the easy ten minute walk into the quaint town of Kailua-Kona which is chock full of places to eat, shop, snack, and sightsee. The condo had everything we needed: the perfect sleeping arrangements; a complete kitchen; more than enough bath towels/supplies; and beach necessities including towels, chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel gear. Parking spaces were a little tight but our van fit okay. The only issue (which was beyond the owner's control) was no hot water in the hallway shower. To our pleasant surprise, a handyman arrived pretty quickly after we spoke to the owner about it. He was very apologetic that it would be fixed after our visit. So we made do taking turns with the shower in the front bedroom. It was a minor pivot for us; the owner's timely response is more the point. We would definitely enjoy staying here again!

Beautiful Condo

Location, location, location! You can’t go wrong with the location of this place. The view from the lanai is simply gorgeous. We spent most mornings out on the lanai eating breakfast and it was a great start to our day. The condo is also conveniently located to all the restaurants and shops. It’s also a short 15-20 minute drive from the Kona airport. We also appreciated the air conditioning unit which did a pretty good job cooling down the place. We arrived to a lovely gift basket filled with cookies, coffee and chocolates. It was such a sweet way to start our vacation! Closets were also fully stocked with everything you need for a beach day, including snorkeling gear which we appreciated. There were two minor cons to the place. First, I agree with some of the reviews that the floors were pretty dirty. However, the condo was well equipped and there was a swifter mop which I used. It wasn’t a problem after spending some time mopping. The other was that the internet was pretty slow. My husband has to check into the office periodically for work and he couldn’t at the condo due to how slow the internet was. But we are on vacation (as I like to always remind him) and it’s a good excuse to unplug. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place to others. That view is just amazing.
