"Where do I start? On arrival there was no one at the front desk. Waited about 15 minutes, I received a key on a chain for my room. The room looked like it hadn’t been touched or cleaned in three decades. Cracked tiles all over. Dirt and residue in the grout of the tile. Don’t even get me started about the bathroom. GROSS. I had to wear my flip flops every time I showered. So dirty. The shower curtain …. Ugggh so gross with mildew and stains. On day four…. I went to front desk to get fresh towels. They never came. I went down three times. Finally at 8pm I received ONE fresh towel. There was nothing opened for food when we arrived. They have no store with snacks or waters or anything. Just a small gift shop that claims they are open at 9am but never opened until after noon and closed by 3pm. (The gift shop didn’t sell snacks or waters). They had set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had traveled a long time and they had nothing to offer us when we arrived. They told us we had to wait until 6:30 when the buffet opened for dinner. WHAT?!?! It was 3pm. We went down to the pool to get a drink. The bar closed at 3;45. The outdoor grill was closed. It was absolutely mind boggling. The food was gross. They had little to offer. The beach had trash everywhere. Cigarettes thrown all over the property. They just don’t take pride in their property. Very disappointed. Never again"

"This property was advertised as an ‘Elegant Villa’. It was in fact infested with cockroaches.(There was also an oversupply of stored items including some apparently redundant items. Many of the utensils including knives and other equipment were found to be unclean).We were asked to vacate and then pressured to leave as soon as possible so the place could be fumigated - the Host was expecting a full houseful for a month after us and it could not be lived in for a week after fumigation.I was not given a full refund. My wife and I were not given any help to find or to pay for alternative accommodation. After we moved to alternative accommodation the Host (a VRBO “Premier Host” who we never met & who lives in USA, reliant on others to manage & inform) finally gave a promised refund for unspent nights two weeks after our return to UK - but only after we chased and reminded.I was not given a refund for unspent nights by VRBO.The refund received does not cover the cost of the alternative accommodation we found at short notice.This spoilt our stay and ultimately our holiday.NB Beware the occasional unannounced but rapid late afternoon / evening passage of the noisy fogging vehicle as it sprays clouds of anti-mosquito insecticide out the back along the South Finger roads of Jolly Harbour covering all including side vegetation – and us once unfortunately! Such fogging is carried out throughout Antigua but operations are scheduled elsewhere with advice to keep inside with"

"We had an amazing stay at La Dolce Villa—it truly felt like a dream vacation. The space was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor area was perfect for relaxing, especially with a peaceful morning tea or an evening glass of wine by the water.The hosts were incredibly friendly and quick to respond, which made everything even smoother. The location couldn’t be better—just minutes from Jolly Beach, grocery stores, and great restaurants.I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, home-like stay by the beach."

"We had the most wonderful holiday at Helen and David’s villa. It’s spacious, comfortable, immaculate and equipped with everything you need. It’s a short walk to the supermarket and all the great new restaurants in the harbour, and a 15mins walk to Jolly Beach which is stunning. Helen and David left really helpful recommendations of places to go and things to do and were really easy to contact throughout. I highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again myself. "

"The home was exactly as pictured - everything in perfect, clean condition. It was a 4 minute brisk walk to the beach with a beautiful marina in the back. The bed in the primary bedroom was very comfortable. I was very happy with the check in process and level of communication with the host and management team."

"I must say, I like the idea of a stocked bar! But it's probably best to leave that the guests.The villa was perfect for my needs; thank you.I have only two observations. Firstly, I was a bit put off by the complexity of opening the rear windows and all the other Vilas I've stayed in have converted to sliding glass doors.And secondly, and I say this to all the Villa owners in whose homes I've stayed; it would be great for us older folk if there were handrails for the staircase.But overall, I greatly enjoyed my stay, thank you..
