"This place was fantastic, we stayed during Silver Week, which meant the hotel was full, however we never once felt crowded. The only thing lacking was a laundry service, however there is a laundromat 600m away. The closeness to the station which is only one stop from Kyoto was really convenient. "This hotel was definitely a delightful experience. I have never stayed in a ryokan before and this will definitely set the bar high. Staff was very helpful. We used the private onsen and not the public one and it was great. The bed on the tatami floor was surprisingly comfortable. Our room came with excellent Japanese dinner and breakfast. That was very close to the bamboo Grove so we were able to visit early in the morning without the crowds. It is also very close to a lot of tourist attractions. My only regret is not staying longer."
